This 11" Over-Camera Teleprompter, from Prompter People, is a quick-setup prompting solution consisting simply of a monitor and articulating arm that attach into the camera hot shoe. Doing away with the traditional through-the-glass prompting method, the over-cam prompter hangs over the lens and lets you read directly off the monitor while speaking into the camera.
The monitor is 10.4" and offers VGA, Composite, HDMI, and USB ports neatly located in partial recesses on the sides. The articulating arm is 11" long and adjustable at several points.
A Mac/PC compatible prompting software is included on a USB stick. The software is where you create prompting text and output it to the over-cam as a video signal via a wired connection from your laptop/desktop. It's also where an assistant would control prompting speed during a presentation. Prompting speed can alternatively be controlled via one of Prompter People's wired or wireless controllers, sold separately, in which case one user can both present and make adjustments.
