A variety of Monitor controls: MultiProler allows you to control the brightness, black level and color gamut directly from the software in addition to many other settings. Changes to settings are made instantly to the monitor.

Picture Mode preset editing: Multiple picture modes can be quickly congured using MultiProler. Choose from the simplicity of built-in sRGB, Adobe RGB, DCI, DICOM, REC-BT709 and High Brightness modes, or load an ICC prole for color matching an existing printer or display. In addition, MultiProler helps you create a completely custom Picture Mode conguration, including controlling the gamma characteristics, color gamut and white point.

Picture-in-Picture (PIP) conguration: The PIP modes can be completely congured directly in MultiProler, including the PIP mode, the video inputs and the Picture Mode for the second video input. This greatly simplies the management of multiple computer congurations.

DisplaySync Pro and USB hub conguration: The integrated USB hub in MultiSync PA Series monitors also can be managed through MultiProler to function as a keyboard/ video/mouse (KVM) switch. This feature maps the USB upstream ports to the various display inputs, which is useful for managing controlling computers attached to the display.

Quick print preview: Create a print preview Picture Mode for your printer by loading its ICC prole in MultiProler. The Picture-in-Picture or Picture-by-Picture function can then be used to view the print preview in real-time.

Automatic generation of ICC proles: MultiProler automatically generates and updates ICC proles as the color modes are selected or adjusted, reducing the need for a proling package to prole the monitor.

    NEC PA302W reviews

30" Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Wide Gamut Desktop Monitor is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible corner light bleed/glow I was very excited to receive my new NEC PA302W monitor, but my excitement quickly faded as I immediately saw excessive light bleed/glow in all four corners. The bottom two were by far the worst, and the top two had a reddish hue to them. I've heard people debate whether this is called light bleed or light glow, as if bleed was bad and glow was fine. To me, the semantics doesn't matter - what matters is that this huge amount of bleed/glow is noticeable during photo/video editing, during movie watching, and even when using normal desktop applications. It is not only distracting, but it impedes my ability to accurately color grade video and images. As a professional photographer and filmmaker, I cannot use this monitor for professional work, and have to return it. One thing I do like about this monitor is the menu - easy to switch between and edit color profiles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior quality I purchased this monitor with the calibration package (PA302W-BK-SV). I have had nothing less than outstanding performance from it. I do extensive image editing in Photoshop, and my workflow has never been so streamlined and my results so robust as they have been since my acquisition of this montor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great performance, limited ergonomics. Using this monitor for Photoshop work on landscapes and portraits. The color rendering is superb and the calibration went smoothly. The only negative about this monitor is that (like most other of those products) the buttons to manage the monitor setting are too small and black/grey on black. I have to use a flashlight to illuminate the buttons in order to push them. Poor design for a worktool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect work-tool for pro photographers and enthusiasts Using this monitor as my main work-tool for editing images in Photoshop. Excellent resolution and color depth. Easy to calibrate. No visible light or color artifacts anywhere on the large screen. Very bright factory setting. Only con are the invisible buttons for the settings manipulation. I cannot understand why monitor manufacturer across the board place black micro buttons into a black frame. I am using a flashlight to find and use these buttons in my low-ambient light editing lab.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super crisp and bright. I like it! I finally realized that my prints were coming out with more detail than I could see on my screen. This display solves that...bright, crisp and sharp. I am dropping one star for the teeny tiny little buttons. They are difficult to see or feel in the dark. Also there's no auto brightness for dim or brightly lit rooms. It's hard to explain why manufacturers forget about ergonomics...not even an ergonomic power switch!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overpriced. Consistentcy issues. I've owned two of these monitors for almost 4 years. I use both of them for photography, mostly in Lightroom and Photoshop. Since the very first day I hooked both of them up to my 2013 Mac Pro via DisplayPort, both of the monitors do not have a consistent and equal output of light across the entire screen. The corners and the dead center of the monitor are the same brightness, but there is a circle around the center of the monitor which is slightly less bright than the rest of the monitor. This effect is hard to notice...granted, the casual observer of this monitor most likely wouldn't notice this issue. But I noticed it after relatively close inspection, and it is more easily seen when the entire screen is a uniform dark color (i.e. dark gray, black, navy blue, etc...). Because of this issue, working with darker colors can be a challenge. In the photo I attached to this review, you can see the inconsistent light problem...look at the lower left edge of the right monitor: The edge is noticeably brighter than the area to the right and above the edge. For a monitor in this price range, this issue is a disappointment. I did give this product a very generous four stars because, the aforementioned issue aside, this monitor is built like a Sherman tank. It feels like it's hewn from one solid chunk of granite. Your back will hate you with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns when you try to lift this monitor. Physical therapists probably own stock in NEC. Once you get used to the light issue, the color reproduction of this product is exceptionally consistent and reliable. I recommend using SpectraView II once a month to ensure reliability, and I also recommend using the monitor hood, which helps shade the screen from ambient overhead light.
