The Tamron 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 Adaptall Lens with Minolta MD Adapter Kit from B&H combines the versatile wide-angle to portrait-length Adaptall zoom lens along with a dedicated adapter for using the lens on SLR cameras that support Minolta MD lenses.
The 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 lens covers a range of everyday perspectives and features Tamron's Minimum Object Distance (M.O.D.) selector system, which, when the focus ring is turned to the closest focusing distance, will automatically result in the zoom ring moving to the telephoto position to achieve a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.15. The manual focus design and minimum focusing distance of 11.8" allow for precise control over focus position from close-up imagery to distant scene. The Tamron Adaptall design enables this lens to be used on a wide variety of SLR cameras when used with a compatible adapter, such as the included Minolta MD adapter as part of this kit.
Extremely lightweight and compact, this handy zoom lens feels more like a standard fixed focal length lens yet delivers coverage from a real wide angle 28mm to a medium telephoto 70mm. The telemacro function gives a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3 at 70mm for good closeups. Made to travel, this focal length range handles everything from group shots to scenic landscape pictures. .
