Great Product for Event Photography!

As a petite pro photographer, I often need to stand on a ladder when photographing events. The Ladderkart is the perfect solution! The steps are wider than a regular ladder so I feel more stable, and the wheels make transporting it very easy.

Stepladder Great vs. Hand Cart Problematic

The overall quality is good. Love the stepladder! But the wheels are problematic. The axles of the 2 wheels are not the same, with the axle of one being longer than the other. It took quite some time to attach the nut of the longer-axle wheel , and it may get off as the nut cannot catch much of the bolt. Fortunately, I have no plan to use it as a hand cart.

falls apart

The nuts fall off the bolts unexpectedly. Lost the wheel while it was loaded on a job because the cheap nut just fell off somewhere. Not ready for prime time. Good concept -- not well executed.

Good combo item - NYC lifestyle photographer

I shoot lifestyle shots for brands and sometimes I have to bring a lot of items with me to a location shoot. This helps me get the items there via public transportation and then also allows me to shoot from some different angles using the ladder. Not the easiest hand cart I've used, tough to get the first item sometimes because the chart doesn't always stand upright by itself but for it's multiple usage I think it's still worth the investment.

Gets The Job Done

It gets the job done (though you can't really place sandbags at the very bottom of the hand cart as they'll slide through the space between the wheels and the lower backing which serves as the first footstep).

Well built and rolls nicely! The fact that it folds out to a step ladder is even better. Light weight as well! Good stuff here!

New Design not as Good

I have the earlier version of this ladder from about 10 years ago and needed to update it due to wear. The old model allowed you to flip down the hand truck platform from the outside without opening the ladder. With this version you have to open the ladder flip down the platform and then close the ladder again. This may seem like no big deal but then you lose about an inch and a half of platform space. I ended up just taking the hardware and wheels from this ladder and putting in on my old one.

question

Are the wheels supported with plastic or metal? It seems that many things these days are made from plastic that just snaps off when it breaks, which then leaves me with items that are broken (lightstands, etc). I'm getting frustrated with the poor quality of items these days. I will pay top dollar for quality, but I expect that it will not break after a few uses. Many companies take shortcuts in the quality department but charge top dollar. Is this item made properly? Will the wheels fall or break off?

It is a very sturdy cart and ladder. My complaint -- and it is a big one -- is that it is relatively narrow compared to what you might expect, but that makes it more portable. No, I don't think the wheels will fall off. The cart is very heavy duty. Best - Steve
