Using it at the National Zoo for some indoor shots, works great. Just what I needed. Small enough to use for indoor shots, light enough to carry around. Powerful enough to light medium to large indoor enclosures. Dont have to carry my large flash anymore for these types of photographs.

it seems to work great but the limitation of distance (less than 50mm with a vignette) which downgrade the review.

Great Price!

Youre better off to use your built-in pop up flash. This thing would screw up your picture badly if you use a wide angle lens. Itll create a black circle around your subject. The long distance difference that it claimed as opposed to using the pop-up flash isnt worth the result of your image.

question

Is this a flash ? How about the Power Consumption? Is this one can use at D200 and D4 ?
Asked by: Anonymous
No, this is not a flash and does not use/require power of its own. It is a Fresnel lens designed device which focuses the light coming out of the pop-up flash to cover a narrower width and increases the distance that the flash will effectively reach.

I have a Canon 60D...will this work on it. Also exactly HOW does this item work?

It is compatible with the 60D. It has an optic which narrows and focuses the light providing your camera's built in flash with a further and more powerful range.

question

The description says for Canon and Nikon.....any reason this won't fit on a Pentax K-5?
Asked by: Anonymous
Since this is just a light focusing device that clips onto the hot shoe and doesn't communicate or directly interact with the camera, I don't see why it would not work on a Pentax or Sony dslr. Could someone explain why it wouldn't work on other brands?
