This battery fits perfectly on my new Canon Vixia HF R800 camcorder. It's long lasting, very reliable. I bought an extra because it takes 6 hours to recharge. It's always wise to have an extra battery all charged and ready to go. Thanks Watson.

inconsistent operation

Sometimes the camera accepts the battery and will work. Other times it powers and then immediately powers off.

Got juice?

Purchased a second battery for a ready stand-by, and thankful I did after discovering the normal or initial charge time. Seems to be well protected against accidental contact with metal objects. Just the same, would like to see a plastic cover or lid for connecter area to prevent mixing with other items in my camera bag. Compact and light weight, doesn't add much weight to the already light weight camcorder. Five stars and a smiley face. :)

Excellent cost-effective replacement

This is a more reasonably priced alternative to the Canon-branded '727' extended amp-hour battery. Over several charge cycles thus far, it seems to maintain a good battery life--no unexpected drain or weird behavior.

I have only used this once and will update in a few weeks. So far so good. I love the fact that I was able to buy a warranty on it. Suggest by B&H and the customer service and support are great. I'm switching from Amazon to B&H for sll my video camera needs.

question

Will this battery fit the Canon VIXIA HFR700?
Asked by: Manfred
We use this battery on an RF 700, and it works great! Lasts a long time, and is just over 1/3 as expensive as the Canon-branded equivalent for a nearly identical rated capacity (2670 vs. 2760 mAh).

question

Does this display the remaining time in the camera?
Asked by: Mark
The remaining time is displayed in-camera when using this battery, though that's a function of the CAMERA, not the battery. The camera does accurately see that there's a bigger battery, and I'm able to get significantly more use from the camera than I could with the stock battery (I don't recall exactly how much more because it's been so long since I've used the stock battery).

question

Does this battery show the time remaining?
Asked by: Edmund
no. also my Vixia Canon camera always asks: do you want to use this battery? Very irritating. Why can't I find the right battery?I say yes because I need the *^ power, of course. The batteries I got from you have white labels with WasabiPower logo.

question

Hi all. Does this Watson BP-727 has the same power capacity (real performance usage) than the canon original one mounted on Canon Vixia HF-R70? many thanks.tilley.
Asked by: hoan
They're very close. This battery is rated at 2670 mAh. The Canon BP-727 that your camera came with is rated at 2685 mAh, which is an insignificant difference.

question

The Canon HF R62 is not listed as compatible, though the R60 and R600 are. Is it compatible?
Asked by: David
I can now answer my own question: Yes! I bought one, charged it up, attached it to my HF R62, and it works great! At less than half the price of the Canon BP-727, it's a great deal -- as is the Watson charger, which is about 1/4 the price of the Canon equivalent.
