Bought this to use with my Panasonic G85 and find it will only record video - not take pictures. What am I doing wrong?
Asked by: Alexandra
I would look closely at your camera settings first, perhaps checking your camera user manual, making sure that 1) you have it set to "photo" and not "movie" when that specific camera port is used. (I would guess there is a choice you can make in your settings somewhere --- sorry I do not have Panasonic photo equipment to be more specific for you) and then 2) try the shutter release without batteries, to thus try to make sure the more complex electronics of the timer are not interfering. Then, 3) I would check with the manufacture to make sure that using this shutter release with your model camera is supported (I suspect it is). Honestly, if your camera is functioning properly in all other respects, I am most suspicious that there is a camera setting that needs to be changed.

Does it work with Canon Rebel T1i, 5D Mark IV, and Sony A6400? Thanks.
Asked by: Lynn
It would seem that, if the connecting cable required for your system is in the kit, it would work. I believe Canon and Sony are there. Verify and match up cable supplied in Energizer kit with the specific connector required in your camera documentation. I have Nikon system (D850) and verify it works. If all you need is an interval timer, make sure your camera does not have this inherent function before buying this item. However, if a shutter release is needed, this item functions GREAT in that capacity, importantly WITHOUT BATTERIES! Prime use is, for example, when you want image recorded with no vibration/motion situation - say, stars/comet in night sky, camera on tripod, mirror up. This item is not of sturdy build so must be careful with it, but it seems to function well (thus far - have used about a month).
