Polsen PL-2WC Reviews

Was Hoping This Could Be the Solution I Needed

I live off a really noisy street and had just purchased the Rode Wireless Go System (which I love) and the accompanying Rode lav mic. A couple weeks later I purchased this cardiod lav mic to test if it's really what I need to help cut on the outside noise. It helped a bit but the sound quality just can't compare to the Rode, so I'm returning it. I might have been happy with it if I didn't test both mics back/forth several times. This mic makes my voice sound a bit further away and tinnier than the warm & intimate quality of the Rodes lav mic.

solid mic for a good price

question

Will this work for a voice recorder like this? Sony ICD-UX533
Asked by: David
the PL2WC lavalier will operate with a recorder such as the Sony ICD-UX533 and similar devices. This mic features a mono jack and may only record to one side when using the recorder in stereo. It is recommended to use the MONO record settings on your recorder for best results.

question

Is this compatible with a Nikon D7000 to record?
Asked by: Anonymous
The PL-2WC is designed to be used with a wireless mic system. It is also able to work with some recorders and devices that are able to provide power to the mic. If you are interested in a similar compatible mic, you can see the Polsen OLM-10. This mic is self powered and can connect and work with the D7000. http://bhpho.to/1rXCNLy

question

Will this work with the iPad Mini 3? Will I need addition equipment?
Asked by: Anonymous
The iPad Mini 3 features a 1/8 (3.5 mm) combination Headphone/Microphone jack. You are not able to connect a mic directly, however there are IOS compatible microphones available that are able to directly connect such as the Polsen MO-PL1 http://bhpho.to/15mUGht or the Rode Smartlav+ http://bhpho.to/1xG1xPw

question

how well does this work with a audio system... as in does it produce a lot of feedback?
Asked by: Anonymous
I have not used it with an audio system so I cannot help there. I use it as a mic plugged into my DSLR for interviews.
