Once connected, the camera hangs upside down, resting securely at the side or in the small of the back, with the lens pointing behind. The strap has a curved pad for added comfort, and is customizable by attaching a variety of BlackRapid accessories. It also comes with a LockStar Caribiner Protector set of two.

BlackRapid RS2SW-1AS Reviews

Kick Camera Strap (Black) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from DONT buycare about your camera I am a professional portrait and event photographer. I use a canon 5d mark 3. I have read some reviews about various black rapid straps and some unpleasant incidents where their cameras have fallen off the strap. I was under the assumption that those people didn't know what they were doing and probably didn't attach it correctly-and that I would be different. On my second time using the strap in the middle of a photo shoot session my camera went flying off the strap and crashed on to the concrete ground-which resulted various damage to my camera. (At the time had my 1.8 .85mm lens-not heavy at all!!!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black Rapid Power, smaller footprint I bought this as a less-visible street photography alternative to my double BR harness I use in the photo pits. It's just perfect. I'm not a small woman, but the strap fits me just fine. Places the camera right on my hip, comfy to wear, and completely secure. You know, the Black Rapid level of secure. No negatives at all. I can't handle a camera around my neck (yuck), putting it just in my hand is dangerous (I'm a klutz) and having it hang on my shoulder won't work (it slides off). For the best in cross-body security, this is the way to go.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not safe for travel I bought this strap primarily to take photos while traveling. I was surprised to see that it has a buckle in the back, making it very easy for someone to come behind me, unbuckle it and take the camera! My husband has a Sport strap and that model does not have the buckle in the back. I bought a ProtectR strap by BlackRapid (a wire strap that protects the back of this strap) hoping to get around the safety problem. However, the ProtectR Regular (the smallest they make) is way too big for my petite frame. I want to like BlackRapid's products, but both items I ordered are lacking in some critical aspect that makes them not work for me. I am not impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! Comfortable, fast and unobtrusive We just returned from a 2 week trip to Europe. I purchased this strap for the trip. Worked so well! We don't like to stick out as tourists more than necessary. However, I am the photographer and have to have a camera within reach. I'm a woman and that's why I bought this model. It works fine for a man as well. I can't compare this to other BlackRapid straps to tell if the others would have worked just as well. That said, the strap DID stay easily and comfortably between the girls and kept the camera to the side yet at hand. This is a high quality strap. Well made and very comfortable. I took about 3,000 frames and more videos with my camera. I shoot MFT. I never felt any shoulder fatigue. I didn't like the mount that came with the strap. I bought the strap a few weeks before the trip to try it out before. I didn't like the attachment point at the bottom with the screw. Plenty sturdy, just didn't like how the camera hung. I purchased a mounting plate that made it possible for the strap to be attached to the side of the camera. PERFECT. I also purchased a Joby Camera Tether for Pro Sling Strap as extra insurance. Some people have reported their cameras coming off the BlackRapid system. After extended use I just don't understand that but I am comforted to have two attachement points. The camera is to the side yet within easy reach - less obvious than the classic neck strap and loads more comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my Black Rapid strap This is the second Black Rapid strap for me. I have two cameras and had another brand on 1 camera. The BR fits well for a women. I am short and it is perfect. The other brand is too big for me. The only con is that when I use the tripod I need to take the strap off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and functional Tried the kick today - walked around for about 3 hours and found it a comfortable solution. When it first arrived I was a little dismayed by the length - even fully extended, it felt a little short but turns out it is just right. The only issue is I was going to walk around with a backpack too but it felt like the straps of the backpack were going to get in the way of the kick strap. I was in a hurry so I just left the backpack - will have to try both again to see if wearing a backpack will work OK. Other than that, the kick stayed in the perfect location the entire time I was out photographing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life enhancing I am so happy with this purchase. It is hugely more comfortable and more manageable to walk around with my camera. I also recommend the large pouch which holds spare batteries, cards, and lens cap. Brilliant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely Recommend This Product I love this strap! It was recommended to me by a fellow photographer (female) and I took it out for a test drive so to speak the other day when I went on a mountain hike. I was looking for something to hold my camera while I hike and not have to keep reaching into my day pack for the camera. This worked beautifully! My Nikon D750 with a big lens on it stayed secure at my right hip area while I hiked the mountain range in North Georgia. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is tired of the neck straps that come with your camera.

question

Will it fit on a tripod ring on a 400mm lens?
Asked by: Anonymous
Being that most 400mm lenses have a 1/4 thread at the bottom of their tripod rings, this strap could work with it. However, it is dependent on the make and model of the lens.

question

can one change sides of women's strap?
Asked by: Anonymous
The strap itself was nothing special. The women thing is in my opinion just hype which I fell for. However I was not happy with the fastening. It was not that convenient and apparently I didn't close it too well because it came loose and my camera fell and my lens was smashed to smithereens. I changed it for something else which is not gender specific and am much happier. Better strap and much better fastening.
