Multiprofiler Application

A variety of Monitor controls: MultiProler allows you to control the brightness, black level and color gamut directly from the software in addition to many other settings. Changes to settings are made instantly to the monitor.

Picture Mode preset editing: Multiple picture modes can be quickly congured using MultiProler. Choose from the simplicity of built-in sRGB, Adobe RGB, DCI, DICOM, REC-BT709 and High Brightness modes, or load an ICC prole for color matching an existing printer or display. In addition, MultiProler helps you create a completely custom Picture Mode conguration, including controlling the gamma characteristics, color gamut and white point.

Picture-in-Picture (PIP) conguration: The PIP modes can be completely congured directly in MultiProler, including the PIP mode, the video inputs and the Picture Mode for the second video input. This greatly simplies the management of multiple computer congurations.

DisplaySync Pro and USB hub conguration: The integrated USB hub in MultiSync PA Series monitors also can be managed through MultiProler to function as a keyboard/ video/mouse (KVM) switch. This feature maps the USB upstream ports to the various display inputs, which is useful for managing controlling computers attached to the display.

Quick print preview: Create a print preview Picture Mode for your printer by loading its ICC prole in MultiProler. The Picture-in-Picture or Picture-by-Picture function can then be used to view the print preview in real-time.

Automatic generation of ICC proles: MultiProler automatically generates and updates ICC proles as the color modes are selected or adjusted, reducing the need for a proling package to prole the monitor.

question

I have 2 questions. 1) Is there a cable included that's compatible with the Thunderbolt 3 port on the Late 2016 MacBook Pro 15 or do I need to purchase an adapter of some sort? 2) When the monitor is connected to a Late 2016 MacBook Pro 15 computer does this NEC monitor charge the computer?
Asked by: Sean
I think you have to buy the cables separately, because NEC doesn't know what laptop you intend to use. But yes, the docking station charges the computer.

question

Is this monitor recommended for color correction for video?
Asked by: Alejandro
I don't work in video production, but its SpectraView software comes with calibration presets for Broadcast Video (SMPTE-C gamut at TV luminance/gamma) and Digital Cinema (DCI-P3 gamut at theater projector luminance/gamma), but you can set up your own preset and calibrate the monitor to that. As long as you know what video standard specs you are targeting, you should be able to configure this monitor as needed.

question

how long are the cables that come with the monitor?
Asked by: Max T.
Regretfully, the monitor is in a permanent installation where measuring the cords is not possible. Sorry. However, it is an excellent monitor and highly recommended by a photo restorer an Photoshop pro. Best, David

question

I'm getting ready to replace two 2013-era NEC PA272 W monitors (which are calibrated using Spectraview II software and colorimeter) and replace with three new NEC PA272W-BK monitors used by a team of three photographers at three separate work stations. Can I still load the early SpectraViwew II software to all three laptop workstations and share the one old colorimeter, or do I need to purchase three new monitors with new Spectra View bundles?
Asked by: Anonymous
I think it is pretty safe to say that you can use your old colorimeters with Spectraview II software. For sure, you can try it, if it does not work you will buy new ones. But I think that odds are 95% that you will be able to do it and in my opinion it will be adequate. For me the problem came from the other side: I could not install the latest version of the SpecraView II software because it supports Windows starting from 8 and up, I have Windows 7. So the problem of compatibility is complicated, too many things are involved. As I said, start with little and move forward as you feel need.
