Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheap and High Quality I purchased the Manfrotto 410 geared head but have the Peak Design Clutch and slide system on my camera so I didn't want to use the crazy large plate that comes with the 410. This adapter is rock solid. My only complaint is how far the knob sticks out. It is quit the shock to bonk your teeth on it when going to look through the viewfinder of the camera. I just put it on backwards and it has enough space under the lens for me to tighten. Took a few days to get used to but works great and I have used it a ton. No loosening and it is nice to finally trust my camera with an adapter!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cast Not Machined The screw works smoothly enough. This is made from cast aluminum (you can tell by the imperfections in the surface that look like little dentsand nicks) and isn't CNC machined like higher-end clamps. The anodization is also medium quality and isn't as slick or black as the expensive stuff. Stilla good value if you're not picky about the finish. Some Desmond clamps come with a 1/4-3/8 bushing adapter that's too long (replace with an Oben or similar brand bushing). I got lucky with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Built my own panoramic nodal slide with this QR, sunwayfoto DPG-210 multipurpose rail and Sirui PA20 panning base. Work very well on the cheap, very happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yes I would recommend it with the right tripod plate. Knob is larger than the clamp itself, Have to be carefull on size of the tripod plate you mount it. If plate is too large clamp won't sit correctly on tripod plate because of knob interferance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and strong Very light weight and strong. Bought this to replace the mini Arca clamp of my MeFoto Daytrip tripod. Fit well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clamp! Really nice clamp, especially considering the price. While I might not use it for my 600mm f/4, it's perfect mounted on top of a monopod for my Panasonic 100-300mm lens (w/Rsch collar) and Olympus OM-D. Very light weight, appears to be quite well made, clamps tightly. I ordered 2 more just to have on-hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nifty feather-weight clamp Perfect for my use which is to connect my cameras equipped with Arca-Swiss plates with Black Rapid straps so I can go quickly from strap to tripod as necessary. Very light weight and seems well machined. Time will tell about durability but it does have a very good feel especially considering the price.
