The T-17541C Digital CoreScope 2 Monocular Microscope from Ken-a-Vision is a compound monocular microscope with an integrated 2.07MP digital camera that outputs 1080p HD resolution. This device was designed from the ground up to optimize the digital learning experience by providing plug-and-play compatibility with Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as supporting interactive white boards and simultaneous multi-camera classroom setups. The CoreScope 2 is also equipped for viewing on-the-go thanks to a fold-flat handle and 800mA rechargeable power pack.
The Digital CoreScope 2 comes with Ken-a-Vision's Applied Vision 4 software, which is packed with tools for image comparison and analysis, as well as document creation and annotation—even export your work to MS Word or Excel. The view transmitted by the microscope's built-in camera can also be captured as still image, video or time lapse recording. This Education-optimized software is capable of supporting up to eight CoreScope digital microscopes at the same time.
Achromatic objectives minimize chromatic aberration and enhance contrast, providing color faithful and detail-rich images—even when viewing unstained specimens. Combined with its 10x monocular eyepiece, the CoreScope 2 provides 40x, 100x, and 400x magnification. This digital microscope has low-position coaxial focus controls integrated into both sides of the base, enabling right or left-handed stage adjustment.
The T-17541C also has a built-in energy-efficient rheostat-controlled LED illuminator that operates at a cool temperature that prolongs the life of the light source and specimens. A condenser lens built into the modular floating stage helps to provide optimal specimen illumination regardless of magnification or focus. Ken-a-Vision engineered this compound microscope to be easy to use yet feature-rich enough to suit the needs of science teachers at almost any grade level.
