Barndoors for Ice Light is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hinge broke These would be fabulous if they were more durable. I bought them about a year ago and used them twice. They basically sat in my closet surrounding the pad that comes with them which helps them keep their shape. I have a wedding today where there's going to be no light in the bride's getting ready room, so I thought I'd bring the barn doors and create my own directional window light. One of the hinges cracked all the way through. I fixed it with gaffer tape, but it isn't a good solution. If I'd abused these the break wouldn't surprise me, but this shouldn't have happened.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaves much to be desired The hinges! Oh the hinges! They are really fragile and weak. Really loose as well - so if you turn the Icelight horizontal, they just flop down. This can actually be a deal breaker, as it is for me. So unless you plan to use them in vertical position all the time - I would really suggest you stay away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works! Not sure why others are having problems with these barn doors; they've worked fine for me. It attaches securely to the Ice Light 2 and allows you to direct the light with lots of control.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Will definetely leave marks... This is a good product and it will do what it is intended for; additional control for your lighht in your shoots. However, the first time you use it you will notice it will leave marks on your Ice Light. I really don't like scratches in my gear, so some kind of thinking on this from Westcott would have been nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do what they're meant for Creates some really cool lighting effects with the Ice Light. They don't hold their position perfectly when in a horizontal position, but it hasn't been anything I haven't been able to work around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much needed I feel this is very needed when using the ice light. The ice light is a very nice product but was difficult to control the spill of light (the light falls everywhere) the only problem I had with the ice light was the fact that there are no modifiers but once I picked up the barn doors,, I use the product a whole lot more

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problems with the hinges Good to have for light spilling, but as mentioned the hinges were a problem. The doors flop open when horizontal, so not good for studio work or moving on the go. My hinge also broke easily with not that much (accidental) pressure. Taping doesn't help too much and I'm not sure I want to invest in another one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does the job OK, but at a steep price These barn doors clip on well and match the cut outs in the tungsten gel, but lack some rigidity in the hinges, meaning that they move a bit when the light is held horizontally. They are also significantly overpriced for the material and design involved, but that is the trademark of the IceLight after all!
