The black, redesigned MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod from Manfrotto builds on the success and popularity of the previous 190 series with professional hardware and convenience features that make it even easier to use than its predecessor.

Set up is faster than ever with Manfrotto's Quick Power Lock System that allows you to completely extend the tripod legs with just one hand. Once set up you can use the MT190XPRO3's rapid center column in standard vertical mode or swing it into horizontal position like a boom with Manfrotto's 90° Column feature. Enlarged tabs on the individual leg angle selectors allow you to get down to only 3.5" for macro work with the column in horizontal mode. And once you're down there you can attach any of Manfrotto's flexible or articulated arms to hold lights or reflectors via the Easy Link plug built into the tripod's spider.

Convenience features include grippy, rubber leg warmers on two legs for cold or inclement weather and a bubble level that rotates so that you can see it easily regardless of the tripod's position. Finally, Manfrotto's insistence on form following function has yielded a tripod that you'll not only be happy to use but you'll be happy to be seen with, too.

Fast Setup with QPL
The Quick Power Lock (QPL) system is one of the most eye-catching and unique features of the redesigned 190. It is a strong, ultra fast, ergonomic locking system that allows for complete extension of the legs with one hand.
90° Column
One of the most innovative aspects of the 190 series is its compactness, which allows for easier portability. The redesigned patented 90° Column is accessible whenever you need it with simple one finger operation.
Easy Link Plug
The plug allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets.
Rotating Leveling Bubble
The bubble is easy to read, whatever the shape of the head or however the tripod is positioned. Just rotate it towards you for easy viewing.
Leg Angle Selectors
Each leg has user selection of four angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain. The selectors are manufactured according to most innovative ergonomic standards to prevent fingers and nails being trapped in the upper casting.
Manfrotto's Eye to Style and Design Detail
The entire shape of the tripod has been modified and made more manageable and stylish. The complete redesign of its functional elements shows a particular attention to aesthetics and details: the brand name, for example, appears in many sections of the new 190, including the two legwarmers made of comfortable rubber to provide a secure grip and prevent the conduction of heat and cold in extreme weather conditions.

Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Reviews

2nd Time!

By Alejandro

It's my second time buying this tripod for a variety of professional photo and video projects. The tripod is flexible and light enough to travel and set up creatively. My first one lasted about 3 years until one of the legs started going loose and the head screw did not want to screw anymore.

I produce video and photography and this tripod works well for either. Great construction and easy to adjust legs are great for me as everything I do has to be quick and lightweight.

Lightweight and high quality

This tripod is lightweight and easy to use. The legs extend with ease and it is very high-quality and durable. My only complaint is that the center of the tripod doesn't circulate freely. I have to manually swivel it with my bullhead or or quick release.

This is one of the best tripods I have ever used.

Poor Quality Locking System or Quality Control

One of the legs is already loose and won't hold up after only a few minor uses. The locking system needs work that's for sure. I can't return it back since the return window already passed.

Stable and well built tripod

I bought this tripod because it is stable, well built, and it supports a horizontal column which is suitable for macro photography. This tripod is quite heavy so it is not suitable for travel so I will use it mainly in my studio.

question

Could you attach a Edelkrone slider to this while shooting a 90degree shot? Or a slider of similar proportions/weight?
Asked by: Andrew
With the right ball head, you can attach any mid-size slider to this tripod and shoot vertically. The tripod can handle over 15 pounds of weight. However, it's always recommended to add some weight to the tripod so that it doesn't tip over, and unfortunately this tripod does not have a hook under the middle column to connect a sandbag or camera bag. But if you can be creative and figure out a way to add more weight to the tripod, that would be the best way to go about it.

will the half-ball 75mm Manfrotto 502a fluid head work on this tripod ?
Asked by: MacKinnon
No, the 502 Fluid video Head with 75mm half ball will not fit on the Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod, as the tripod is not capable of taking a half bowl of any size. Alternatively one can use the Manfrotto 502AH Pro Video Head with Flat Base, BH #MAMVH502AH (https://bhpho.to/3d9niTB).

Is this tripod enough to support Nitrotech 608 head? I'm trying to assemble a reliable travel tripod with good counterbalance head. Would the 190xpro4 be better?
Asked by: Maro
I don't know the heads you mention and I'm not an expert. But I mainly use this tripod in studio with a very heavy old bogen 3047 head and a medium weight mf 4/3 camera. A center sand bag is required when the center column is in horizontal mode. Next time I'll go for a lighter head for sure.
