Any way that these portable SSD drives can interface with a smartphone?
Asked by: Mark
What I see is yes, with a smart phone camera adapter. Never tried it myself other than going directly from drive to an iPhone with the phone charge cable and a USB-C to USB 3 adapter. That didn't work. FYI. Drive needs to be powered by the phone.

Has anyone used this successfully to download files to or from a G tech USB C with an iPad and the new IPadOS upgrade?
Asked by: Jeff
I have not but I hope to get a new iPad Pro and do that very thing. Right now I use it with my MacBook Air to download files while on location or on a trip. This drive is incredibly fast and I really love it. It is tiny.

Does this drive with HFS actually format to a full 2048 GB or is it something closer to 1800 GB because of the whole 1000 vs 1024 calculation?
Asked by: Anonymous
Generally speaking, it is going to take about 10% of your space. You would get about 1.8TB. This is an estimate.
