The Magenta Research AK1200DP-SAP MultiView Video, Stereo Audio, Pollable Duplex-Serial CAT5 Receiver with AkuComp II supports video resolutions up to WUXGA (1920x1200) at distances up to 1,200'. The receiver supports almost all analog video types such as RGBHV, YUV, YPbPr, component and composite, Y/C, S-Video, HDTV, PAL, SECAM or RGBS.
The receiver features a standard UTP output, in order to facilitate the daisy-chaining of up to 12 compatible MultiView receivers. This feature, when combined with a MultiView 9D distribution amplifier (sold separately), enables the distribution of a single-source to multiple displays.
All adjustment controls on the receiver are simplified for ease of use, beginning with the included AkuComp II skew compensation, which is required when skew-free cabling is not used. A knob is used to adjust skew-delay with colored LEDs on the unit indicating which color is being delayed. Skew compensation can compensate for up to 65ns of cable skew. The same knob, when pressed, cycles from skew adjustment to cable EQ, which is used to adjust for actual UTP cable length.
The receiver features full video-format agility. An external switch, when turned on, offers an auto-detect feature to differentiate between RGBHV and non-RGBHV sources. The video format and serial configuration are field configurable. This pollable duplex-serial receiver offers duplex serial interaction even in a daisy-chain application.
