XLR Cable Included? I've seen unboxing videos ...

XLR Cable Included? I've seen unboxing videos where an XLR Cable and Mic Sock (not wind filter) are included, but they're not listed here hence my question.
Asked by: Out d'Box
Thank you all for the responses, I know you are trying to assist me in this forum but I am shopping for a new Rode Microphone for studio work and this caught my attention when I saw the complete kit unboxed with the SM6 shock mount. I wish I could've included hyperlinks to the unboxing videos that unmistakenly shows the NT1 kits. I think Rode does/did kit the NT1 with the SM6 and a 25' XLRM-XLRF Cable. Thanks, everyone.

I tried to connect to a Pioneer DJM 900 NXS2, but ...

I tried to connect to a Pioneer DJM 900 NXS2, but the the microphone doesn't work at all. I tested via Focusrite on my computer, and it does work there well. How can I set up the mic with DJM 900 NXS2 to get sound?
Asked by: Janos
The Microphone is a condenser and requires 48v of Phantom Power, which the Pioneer mixer does not supply. You can use an external phantom power supply, like the Rolls PB23. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/155422-REG/Rolls_PB23_PB23_Single_Channel.html However, if you intend to do live performances, this may not be the right mic. As it is a condenser, it is very sensitive and will pick up crowd and room noise, and possibly cause feedback in a live setting. You may want to consider switching to a dynamic mic for your live shows.

question

is this cardio condenser microphone?
Asked by: Anonymous
The NT1 Cardioid Condenser Microphone from Rode is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone that features Rode's HF6 1-inch capsule. The HF6 is designed to provide a detailed midrange response with smooth highs and warm bass. The capsule itself is seated in a Rycote Lyre internal shockmount to help reduce vibration and handling noises. The microphone's electronics were designed from the ground-up for quiet performance, and allow the NT1 to have a low, 4.5dBA of self-noise. The body of the mic is machined from nickel-plated aluminum that is then coated in a ceramic layer that is electrostatically applied for a scratch-resistant finish. The NT1 includes the RM2 mic clip and has a 1-year limited warranty that extends to 10-years after registration with Rode.

Are there any benefits to using 48V phantom power? It says it can operate on both, but are there reasons I would choose one over the other?
Asked by: Henry
The 24V powering option for the Rode NT1-KIT Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone would really only be useful if you for some reason had a 24V supply, or a supply that did not offer 48V. There should not be a difference or benefit in microphone performance using one or the other.
