    SanDisk 32GB Reviews

32GB Ultra CompactFlash Memory Card is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 80.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Videographers choice for CompactFlash I shoot video with my Canon 7D, which takes a CompactFlash (CF) memory card. When I'm in the field, memory capacity and a high megabyte per second transfer rate are crucial. You never want to miss a moment because of lack of space, and you always want to maintain the highest picture quality possible. This 32 GB, 50 MB/s SanDisk CompactFlash (CF) memory card is the ideal choice. It can hold approximately 178 minutes of high quality 1080i resolution video with high transfer speed. The price that B&H offers this card is unbeatable for a card of this speed and capacity. Five stars, two thumbs way, way up for capacity, performance, and value.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failure I bought two of these cards for photos at my daughter's wedding. I used both of them and that evening looked at the photos and videos on my camera - all good. Two days later I looked at them on my computer - all good. The next day when I tried to make copies of them, one could not be read. I took it to a computer store and he said the files were corrupted and could not be retrieved. Probably only one card out of ten thousand will fail but in this case it is GREATLY frustrating because of the importance of the photos. My advice is to copy your files immediately!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good performance for the price I don't need great performance, doing photos only, no video, and this is more than adequate. Love the fact that Sandisk is so darn reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SanDisk Quality at B&H Prices A great capacity upgrade from SanDisk at a great price from B&H. I checked with a B&H specialist about compatibility with my Nikon D700. He had the same camera and said while not technically 'supported', it worked just fine. I might not get the full transfer speed, but I would certainly get the capacity. When I put it in the camera, it worked beautifully. So much capacity that I don't have to carry spare media on shoots. I never worry about SanDisk quality. No media failures in 10 years of brand loyalty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Should have read the manual first After purchase I read the Nikon D810 manual. Only the Extreme San Disk 32GB is recommended. However, the Ultra seems to work well enough for my purposes: Backup for when the SD card is full; Store the NCSETUPF.BIN file in a location where it will not get accidentally overwritten. The D810 does not have stable U1, U2 settings memory like the D7100 or D610. It's menu bank memory is easily reset inadvertently and thus cannot be trusted to restore settings to one's intentions. I find that reloading settings from the NCSETUPF.BIN file to be a good substitute. With CF set to backup only, one must take the SD card out to read or write NCSETUPF.BIN to the CF card. That fact is what protects the NCSETUPF.BIN from accidents. Those intending to use the card for stills and movies probably should not buy this card.
