DJI CP.PT.000090 reviews

Phantom 2 Quadcopter Battery is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 234.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from It Remains To Be Seen When I bought my DJI Phantom 2 Vision + last year, I bought 2 extra batteries to give me extended flying time. All three batteries started off giving the expected 20-25 min of power. On the 13 subsequent charging cycles within 8 months time, all three batteries declined in their expected flying time and slowly started to bulge. The batteries suddenly loses their power after about 5 min in flight and the drone lands where it's not supposed to. This is the reason for the 2 stars. I use my drone in most of my events (videos) and I had no choice but to buy another set of batteries. I hope this set would not have the same problems.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Early Failure Rate These batteries work fine when new, however, there are many (hundreds) of people on the net, including myself, that are getting only 20 to 50 charges out of them before they start to swell and the voltage drops off to 15% after onlt 7 to 10 minutes causing rapid emergency landing procedures. I have two and one has total failure and the other is begining to swell at only 20 charges. General consences on the forums is: Storage at full charge for long periods of time (longer than 10 days)leads to premature failure. DJI's software recomends bringing the battery voltage down to a point that it does not start the motors and then recharging after every 20 charges. Well mine are not even lasting long enough to do this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as it should! It's DJI's fault for creating a proprietary battery for their Phantom quadcopter that nobody else can create batteries for. I've had two of them with faulty cells and you are forced to purchase their battery only at $ which I'm sure doesn't cost them more than $20 to manufacture. That said, it works great and sustains flight time of around 12-15 minutes. I've never got close to the 25 minutes advertised, but I'm also running the H3-3D gimbal with GoPro Hero 3 for added weight. Long story short, the battery is very heavy and proprietary but it works great for the application it is designed for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable and dead I've been using the Phantom 2 for four months and have 3 batteries. 1 battery seems to be working fine, the other reads out at constant 80% charge, the other is completely dead...won't charge, turn on, nothing. Lesson learned - don't store these at 100% charge in-between uses. I read through various forms that a 50% storage charge is ideal. DJI does a very poor job explaining how to properly care for these batteries. The Phantom 2 manual even recommends to completely discharge after 20 cycles. This is a big no-no as doing this can kill the battery. 2/3rds of the batteries I own are now junk. Do your research and hopefully your batteries will last longer than mine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Bad One In The Bunch. I shoot a lot of aerial footage where ever I travel as a pro photographer, so I thought I would buy more batteries for my Phantom 2 (w/H3-3D gimbal) to extend my flight time. B&H has a good deal on 2 for $ and thought since I had an assignment out of town, they might come in handy. After using one a few times it stopped taking a full charge. My iOSD said it was 98% then mysteriously it would drop to 30%. Once after a 5 minute flight it started to land itself almost in the water. I contacted B&H immediately after I returned and they offered to exchanged it for me.My suggestion is always test your batteries thoroughly to make sure they are working (over dry land) properly. If you get one with a bad cell, you might have the same problem I did, but not be as lucky as me and land in the ocean.Final thoughts. Even though batteries are undependable, you can always depend on B&H's customer satisfaction guarantee. A+++ score!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter Battery Hey, it's a battery there's not much else to say. However, I wanted to share one thing I found that was useful information regarding the charging of almost full DJI LiPo batteries... Before topping off the battery (say it's been sitting for a week or two) just power it on before you connect it to the charger. That's it! I would plug it in like I would any other battery and NOTHING would happen, no indication it was charging. Then I tried powering it up like you would to start it in the Phantom before a flight and VOILA... LIGHTS!... well, until it's FULLY charged then of course they go off anyway. Just FYI.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not DJI Intelligent Battery I have the DJI Phantom 2 with the H3-3D gimbal for use with gopro 3. This battery is v2.0 and for some reason it will start the drone up, gimbal will work with controller, but when I go to spin the blades, it will not spin. Older batteries will work, but not newer. I've returned and got a new different battery, same problem. I hook up to the computer, and it tells me its Not DJI Intelligent Battery! So i'm stuck, I order everything from BHPhoto, not sure what to do because they don't have a solution, they can return and ship me new batteries, but they don't work, for some reason the v2.0 is not working.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A MUST Need for Phantom 2 Owners! I stand by the title, this is a MUST need for any owner of the Phantom 2 drone by DJi. Unfortunately, the reason it is a must need is because the battery is only rated at lasting 24 minutes on a Phantom 2. And once you start adding your gimbal, GoPro, video transmitter and iOSD flight information transmitter.... you start seeing a lot less flight time. I would say on my few flights with my Phantom 2 i averaged around 18-20 minutes of flight time per battery. So basically if you want to be able to fly for more than 20 minutes at a time without having to wait over an hour for your battery to charge, you will need at least one additional battery (... lets be real, ideally you should have like 4 batteries in total).
