This TTL Underwater Housing from Ikelite is a waterproof case enabling you to shoot beneath the surface with your Canon PowerShot G16 digital camera. It has a depth rating of 200'. Mechanical controls provide access to all camera functions except for the diopter adjustment dial. The camera's built-in flash is also usable.

Built for durability, the housing is constructed by hand in the USA from corrosion-resistant polycarbonate, which is clear to allow you to monitor the o-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. The housing's built-in, flat glass port accommodates the camera's lens, and also accepts optional, external wide-angle and macro add-on lenses.

Expand your system by adding an optional Ikelite DS Substrobe. The housing's built-in circuitry and 5-pin electrical bulkhead enable TTL exposure with these TTL-compatible strobes, which are triggered without requiring your camera's built-in flash to fire. Non-Ikelite strobes are available, too, though these will provide manual exposure only. The included aluminum tray with left-hand rubberized grip provides a quick-release point for your external strobe, while also improving balance and handling underwater.

Depth Rating
Can be used at a maximum depth of 200'
Controls
Mechanical controls provide access to all camera functions except for the diopter adjustment dial. The camera's built-in flash is also usable
Construction
Built by hand in the USA from durable, corrosion-resistant polycarbonate, which is clear to allow you to monitor the o-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera
Buoyancy
Slightly negative
Lens Port
Built-in, flat glass port accommodates the camera's lens, and also accepts optional, external wide-angle and macro add-on lenses. The Ikelite WD-4 wide-angle dome simply slides onto the front of the port and can be removed and replaced underwater. It features virtually no corner softness. For close-up shooting, attach various macro add-on lenses from Inon and Epoque with standard 67mm thread diameters via the optional Ikelite 9306.82 Macro Adapter, which can also be removed and replaced underwater
Color Correction Filters
Ikelite 6441.46 and 6441.86 filters for blue and green water, respectively, help restore colors that get absorbed underwater
TTL Flash Exposure with External Strobes
Ikelite Digital TTL ICS-5 5-pin electrical bulkhead with built-in circuitry enables TTL exposure with optional Ikelite DS Substrobes, such as the recommended DS161 with built-in video light. Benefit from TTL exposure with these TTL-compatible strobes, which are triggered without requiring your camera's built-in flash to fire--thereby conserving battery life and eliminating the lag as you wait for the camera's flash to recycle. They connect via sync cords, which are available separately. This type of connection ensures that your strobe won't be triggered by someone else's flash going off, causing it to fire at the wrong time. Non-Ikelite strobes are available, too, though these will provide manual exposure only
Included Flash Diffuser and Deflector
If you do want to use the camera's built-in flash, the bundled diffuser will soften its light. The supplied flash deflector will redirect this light towards an external strobe, giving you the option of triggering the strobe that way
Mounting
An included aluminum tray with left-hand rubberized grip provides a quick-release point for your external strobe, while also improving balance and handling underwater. Additionally, the grip handle offers a comfortable hold. The complete handle assembly can be attached and removed with just two screws. To add an extra lighting arm for another strobe, you can purchase the optional tray with dual handles
Additional Recommended Optional Accessories
The lightweight (4 oz) aluminum Ikelite Gamma LED light offers an output of over 220 lumens, a beam angle of 10° and a burn time of 10 hr
