Great Tripod

I bought this tripod mainly for the height and because it was a Manfrotto tripod. I really am happy with my experience so far. The tripod was at a great price. It was listed for a cheaper amount on B&H than it was on @. I use a Canon t3i and a Canon t5i for nearly all of my video shoots. This tripod has worked perfectly with them. I get frustrated when tripods will still tilt down some even after locking it in place. I guess this comes from using a tripod that isn't built for your camera. However, this tripod did not do that at all. Once you lock it in place, it will stay until you move it again. It's awesome! Everything feels durable except for the handle. I haven't had any problems out of the handle, so I'm not disappointed by that at all. As stated above, this tripod is awesome and I am so happy with it!

This tripod is priced right and very compact. It is a great choice for the home user on a budget who needs to shoot both photography and video. We bought it for set-and-forget long form video so we were not as concerned about fluid motion or stability.

As I take my photo hobby to the next level I needed some extras to go with my camera. A tripod that goes anywhere, expands simply and quickly, and is cost effective, this was the one. B&H Photo delivered! Easy to purchase, no shipping and handling, and it arrived in just three days! I'm thrilled!

Light weight and easy to carry. Got a strap to put it over my shoulder. It has a quick snap bracket so it is quick to set up when hiking. It is a good addition to my equipment.

question

Hi, what is the replaceable base I can use to attach my Canon SX60 to the head? Right now the base, the attaching part that can be removed from the ball, does not fit my camera. Thanks.
Asked by: william s.
You could add the Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate B&H # MA323 on top of your current head, but please note that this also adds more weight, reducing the load capacity of the head.

question

Please HELP!!>> On the Quick-Release Plate, in addition to the Threaded 1/4 -20 camera mounting screw there is a video camera alignment pin (made of red plastic). This small red plastic pin is IN THE WAY when attempting to mount to a DSLR to the Quick-Release Plate! Although there is a slot for a small screwdriver on the underside, no amount of turning (in either direction) allows it's removal (since it apparently has no threads). Also, pushing this red pin top against a hard surface doesn't budge it either. How can this plastic pin be removed without breaking it (in case of future need for video camera use)?? Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
There is a switch on the side of the head that you can move from video to photo. When you move the pin, you should be able to push the video pin down so it doesn't obstruct a DSLR from being mounted.

question

What is the major difference between this product and Manfrotto Compact Action Aluminum Tripod (B&H # MAMCMPCTACNB)?
Asked by: Anonymous
NancyYour eagle eyes have found two remarkably similar tripods. I can find virtually no difference between them. Manfrotto has so many different products on offer. To all intents and purposes they seem to be the same product under differing names and nothing to chose between them.

question

is it compatible with nikon d90
Asked by: Anonymous
That can support a D90 with standard size lenses. It would not be suitable however if you were using it with lenses that weighed more than 3 pounds.
