Pro 340DX Tripod Legs (Black) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from best quality/price travel-pod there is 5 stars based on price and performance for what's its designed for: portability. Got this for my primary travel tripod. Flip locks are fast, it's relatively sturdy (especially when you don't extend the last portion of the legs), and folds up very compactly. Easily straps to the outside of my smallish lowepro runner 200 and doesn't even extent beyond the top of the bag. Is it rock solid? No. But a tripod of this size really can't be. Simply put, the quality/price ratio on this should put this toward the top of your consideration list for a travel/grab-and-go type tripod. Combined with the Manfrotto mini (not micro) ballhead, it's a perfect combination.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Little Tripod I have lots of tripods including a Bogen 3021 pro, but this is the one I use unless I absolutely have to have the height or flexibility of the Bogen. Its *amazingly* stable for such a light little tripod and sets up quite easily. The only downside is the column. Its only one piece so you can't go that low unless you buy the extra little column - so you either carry two columns or limit your flexibility. And I find the column balky especially when trying to lower it - but it is quite stable when raised. Otherwise, you can't go wrong. I truly believe its the best tripod you'll find at the price. If you want to go cheap, this tripod's got fewer tradeoffs than the others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little tripod for Hiking I really like this tripod. It is light, sturdy and the perfect height. The thumb lock system seems strong enough and works well. The ability to remove the lower portion of the center column allows for adjustment almost near that of tripods with no center column. Overall, a good purchase and great value for photogs looking for something sturdy but light and don't want to pay for CF legs. Keep in mind that it will prob move a bit in higher mph winds but for most general breezy days, itll be great. Use as is with 1/4 mount or pick up a reducer bushing to adapt to pro heads or head with 3/4 and 20mm thread like Manfrotto.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ok For the Price I was flying to CA from TX and needed a light tripod. The Pro 340DX Tripod Legs (Silver) by Slik was perfect for that. It isn't very sturdy in a stiff wind, but other than that, it worked fine and was small enough I could fit it in my carry-on. You give up some sturdiness for weight... The only warning I will give is that I had to turn the mounting plate over to attach my Manfrotto ball head. Well, the screw that had to be removed required an Allen wrench which was provided. But that screw is teeny, tiny and I dropped the darn thing. (The screw is there to keep the plate from rotating.) Fortunately, I could still use the tripod on my trip. When I got back from my trip, I called customer support to get a new screw. I was told this was a very recent change and they didn't have a replacement part yet. That was 3 weeks ago so I will check soon and see if they've gotten the part in yet.... Lesson learned, don't lose that screw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Travelpod This is a great tripod for packing in your airplane carry-on! The quick release legs, sliding column, eye-level height, variable spread legs, and foam leg protectors are all excellent features in a package that collapses to less than 16 inches!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value lightweight tripod This is the best tripod leg at this price range. No need to go for a carbon fiber one which has similar load capacity but could be heavier (what's the point for carbon fiber?) and more than double price...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and flexiable Very pleased with this tripod. It is sturdy enough to hold my 50D w/ 24-105 L lens. It is not too heavy and the padding on the legs also make it easy and comfortable to carry along on the many hikes that I have been on. The legs can be adjusted into many different angles and the center column also comes apart so you can get lower to the ground if needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get one My old slik aluminum tripod got stolen out of my truck on a recent hunt. I bought this to replace it. Man was I impressed when I opened the box. First off, it was shipped so quick for no charge which was great. It is super solid; very well built - durable. I did have to do some modification in order to attach my Jim White tripod pan head but it only took all of 10 minutes to do. All in all I am very pleased with the product and BHPhotoVideo.
