I truly miss my Velvia 50 and 100 in 4x5! If I could only have Quickloads again!! I'm in mourning!!! Fuji Film, you may as well discontinue film all together, you're done with quality film and we know it. My condolences to all who love Fuji film..

Oh, The Color

I seldom shoot color film of any kind; I prefer black and white. But sometimes it just has to be used. I have tried Provia, Portra, and Ektar, but Provia is the sweet spot. The colors are close to true life, with just a bit of pop. Not great for skin tones (Portra is way better), but not the clown-like color of Ektar. I love it for anything floral or otherwise plant-related. And the tonal range is spectacular. I ran out of Provia recently, and had to substitute Portra for some shots. They look great, but they lack the extra pop. And the Portra was way more fragile. I spent a long time cleaning up scratches on the negatives, something I never have to do with Provia.

I truly miss my 4x5 Velvia 50 and 100! ! And I want them in Quickloads!!!!!! I'm in mourning!!

A very poor film. 50 velvia 4x5 or 100 velvia 4x5 are best!

I recently pulled the development by 2 stops after over exposing. Wow. Just wonderful. Such reliable film. Slight magenta cast easily adjusted.

question

How to store and transport exposed sheet film now that Fuji Quick Load is no more?
Asked by: Anonymous
What others wrote is all great advice. While one important thing is not to let temperature swings affect the film, the most important is to get it processed ASAP. Things start to happen to the latent image once the emulsion is exposed and that can cause color shifts. They are usually subtle but nonetheless noticeable to the experienced eye.
