The NWA1123-NI 802.11n Dual-Band Ceiling Mount PoE Access Point from ZyXEL is a standard-based, SNMP-managed 802.11n PoE access point with data rates up to 600 Mb/s. It has a compact ceiling mount design and is plenum rated with LOSH material. The embedded antennas of the access point enable large interior wireless deployments without sacrificing wireless performance. It provides up to 16 SSIDs to map the VLAN security level settings to classify users for different application services, such as public Internet access or restricted web contents.
This dual-radio PoE access point consists of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band radio to match the concurrent Wi-Fi services with either frequency. As more and more recent mobile or laptop devices support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, you can choose 5 GHz as the first priority for default searching and balance heavy network loading with the 2.4 GHz band. The higher frequency of the 5 GHz band provides a shorter signal range compared to the 2.4 GHz band with the same transmit output power.
