TL-SG105 5-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Unmanaged Desktop Switch is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Gigabit switch for expanding your home network I bought this switch to upgrade a 10/100 switch in my network. With computers coming with Gigabit ethernet ports standard these days, my old 10/100 equipment was limiting my network bandwidth. It's just a simple home network with a few PCs wired up, so I did not need a fancy managed switch or a business class one. This TP-Link 5 port switch provided all the ports I needed in a simple connect-and-go package. The metal casing is much nicer than the plastic ones, while helping to disperse heat better. I simply put this in place of the old switch, plugged in the cables, and I was off transferring files at theoretical Gigabit speeds. I'm only limited now by the speed of the drives in the systems. And should I ever get greater than 100Mbps internet, all my connected PCs will be able to benefit from that speed. Definitely a solid choice for anyone who needs a dumb switch to expand or upgrade their wired home network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and works I used it as a switch for my home theater devices. I only have on hot spot in my living room and more than once device that I want to wire up. Enter the TP-Link switch and problem solved. The only issues I was not sure about is why one light is green and another yellow on the output ports. Other than that no problems so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hardwire still works ! I used this on my home network, to reduce the number of WiFi devices on the network. It works great, and now video games can stay connected and televisions too.
