This B&H Kit is assembled to provide you with an alert system for two separate zones. The kit includes the Optex RCTD-20U Wireless Annunciator System, which includes the wireless receiver/chime box, an AC power supply, a wireless sensor/transmitter, and an additional sensor/transmitter. This kit is particularly useful when you have entrances that are not easily visible, or areas out of sight, but you still want to know when someone is approaching or has entered that area. Although this B&H kit includes only two sensors/transmitters, additional sensors/transmitters can be purchased separately. The Chime box supports up to nine sensors in three groups with each group featuring a distinctive chime. This capability allows you to set up and cover three distinct areas or entranceways provided you source at least one additional sensor/transmitter.
The Sensor/transmitters are passive IR sensors that are battery powered, operating on available 9V Lithium or Alkaline batteries, have a transmission range of two thousand feet, and feature a selectable detection pattern of either fifty or seventeen foot detection range. The chime box is powered by an included 9V power adapter, can be wall or table mounted, and features a built-in 24 volt DC relay system that can activate other devices.
The TD-20U Indoor/Outdoor Sensor Transmitter from Optex offers two selectable detection patterns, a 17' fan pattern or a 50' beam pattern. The sensor uses PIR to detect motion, and once motion is detected it sends a signal back to the RC-20U Chime Box Receiver using RF signals. The device is powered by a standard 9V battery (available separately) which can last for approximately 2 years when the sensor is triggered about 250 times a day. There is a red LED that indicates when the sensor has detected motion and when the battery is low. Up to nine TD-20U units can be added to one RC-20U Receiver, enabling you to set up a full perimeter around your property.
When used with the 50' long-range detection pattern, the transmitter is suitable for applications such as driveways, entryways/walkways, warehouse delivery areas, constructions sites, art galleries, drive-up windows, delivery doors, and similar scenarios. When used with the 17' fan (wide) angle detection pattern, the transmitter can be used to monitor hard to see items, merchandise that is prone to shoplifting, inside display cases at jewelry stores, department store dressing rooms or fitting rooms, the unauthorized use of emergency exits, supply rooms or closets, and home or business entry points. With an IP54-rated housing, the sensor is suitable for use in outdoor areas for a wide range of applications.
The Chime Box Receiver with Relay from Optex is designed to be used with the TD-20U Indoor/Outdoor Sensor Transmitter for transmitting RF signals up to 2000' away. The receiver can support up to nine TD-20U units, enabling you to create a full perimeter around your property. In addition, the RC-20U Receiver/Chime Box includes a Form-C relay for activating additional devices such as lights, cameras, and door locks.
When motion is detected by your sensor, the receiver will alert you by sounding an audible chime. You can choose to use any of three selectable chime tones, and when using multiple sensors, you can program a different chime tone to sound for every 3 sensors. The receiver is also compatible with TC-10U door contacts and TS-10U handheld push-button transmitters. Additionally, the system's transmission range can be extended by using the TR-10U Repeater.
