Thermaltake CLP0608 overview

  • 1Description

The NiC Series C5 Dual 120mm Fan CPU Cooler from Thermaltake incorporates proprietary technology that offers non-interference cooling for the RAM and motherboard area. It is fully compatible with RAM of all kinds and can be installed with high-end overclocked RAMs. The CPU cooler supports AMD and Intel platforms.

Non-Interference Cooler
This CPU cooler offers maximum RAM clearance and can be installed with high-end overclocked RAMs.
Integrated Dual 120mm VR Fans
The integrated dual 120mm VR fans are connected to an adjustable fan speed knob that allows you to manually adjust fan speed from 1000 to 2000 rpm. A tool-less fan mounting bracket design facilitates easy installation.
Overclock Design Support up to 230W
Heat is conducted from the CPU onto the cooler through the thick nickel coated copper base and then on to the aluminum fins with 5 x Φ6.0mm U-shaped heat-pipes. This ensures enhanced heat dissipation performance and effective heat conduction.
Curved Aluminum Fins
The aluminum fins are designed in a curved shape to reduce back air resistance and at the same time maximize airflow. The 0.01" (0.4mm) thick aluminum fins also increase the overall thermal dissipation area.
Universal Socket Compatibility
The CPU cooler features an all-in-one back-plate design; the universal socket offers support to Intel and AMD platforms.

    Thermaltake CLP0608 reviews

NiC Series C5 Dual 120mm Fan CPU Cooler is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cooling Great cooling. Be sure you have enough room in case. I have a mid size tower an with cooler installed. I could not get side cover back on. Only needed 1/8 inch more clearance. So I cut out a window in side cover and added an 8 inch by 8 inch square vent cover which I made and cover went back on perfect. Not everyone can do this so make sure you have a full size tower for this cooler to fit. Only other con is speed switch for fan only 3 pin so fan is always on. All in all still a great product and no worry about overheatin.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Give you the feels of a budget build Good: -Good performance to cost ratio. Idle temp is within 1-2 degree above ambient, sometimes lower. The things does it job. Bad: -Noise: Very noisy. Very very noisy. Let me repeat. It is very noisy -Fan: look cheap. The 2 red plastic fans looks out of place in almost every build. No screw provided to fix the fan in place. -Size: Not really non-inteference. It is really close to my and GPU. Yes technically it won't touch the RAM or the GPU, but that's it, you can't get your finger or anything in between them. Good luck trying to install aftermarket RAM or GPU. -Speed controller: broke off after 2 days, which I don't care, because it doesn't work in the first place (the cable was loose). -Heat sink: The heat sink cover (the black portion) are made of plastic. They consistently broke of, to the point I have to use tape to keep them in place. -Installation: Very hard to install. Installing the support plate will cause you to accidentally move the heatsink, after applying thermal paste and all. The first time I install, the thermal paste spilled over to the CPU socket. Overall, the cooler is the weakest link in my premium build. Go for it if you are budget yet still want to get low temperature (at the expense of everything else).
