Life Saver for the BMPCC Power Supply Issues

This thing is seriously a life saver. The battery power on the BMPCC is horrendous, but after I bought this I was surviving for about 3 or 4 hours without needing a charge. I bought some Wasabi Power LP-E6 batteries off of Amazon, and they worked great with this thing. I would have given it 5-stars but it's not designed very well. The screw that tightens the device to the rod system also loosens the device, so if you need to move it the device spins around. That is seriously such a minor complaint though. Works great otherwise.

Power Grid for LP-E6 & BMPCC

Having just purchased a BMPCC, and needing an external power supply.. I saw this device, which would allow me to use my existing Canon batteries. So far, it has been excellent, allowing me to shoot without anxiety of running short of power. Its well built, and I would certainly recommend this product to any film maker with existing Canon equipment... :)

question

How long does the power last with a metabones speed booster attached?
Asked by: Jim
This unit will power the BM pocket camera a extra 3 hours or more depending on the LP-E6 batteries your using with the Metabones. Plus the BM pockets battery time.

question

Does this come with the batteries?
Asked by: Anonymous
No, it's just a passive device that requires two batteries to function. It also won't work with all LP-E6 batteries that aren't original. I have a set from my smallHD monitor that don't work with it. The pins are fairly thin on this device that make the connection. The device does work and looks neat on rails. I also have the bigger version for the BMPC4K and it has XLR inputs but I prefer to power the biggger camera from v-mount battery. Over all if you need a battery solution this is the right job =

question

Is there an adapter to make it usable for BMCC as well? I have both BMCC and BMPCC, it would be great to have a battery system that can go between 2 cameras.
Asked by: Anonymous
I actually had to get my ends changed for my BMPCC. A local shop swapped my wall charger end (straight) with the battery pack (right angle) as far as the bmcc I think you may need to cal indipro or a specialized cable maker to make you an adapter.
