Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Loud Enough I bought this mini-boom mike mostly to get better and louder sound into my iPhone. I loaded the app that they suggested ($) which permits boosting to the amplification of the sound recording. But I found the volume was still too low even at the maximum setting. The quality of the sound was better than the internal iPhone mic, but not nearly as loud. Even with boosting the gain to its highest setting, the recording meter in the app showed it was only getting one or two green bars and nowhere near the top of the range. So for me, because the mic did not record loud enough at maximum gain (and at a significantly lower volume than the internal mic), it wasn't much help. It would have been a great product if they could have figured out a way to record at a louder volume.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mighty Small But Mighty Great I am an Apple guy. I have the pods and the pads and I am typing this on my big o'l iMAC. This little mic has made a big difference in the way I capture video on Apple devices. Loud and Clear, that is how the audio portion of my small videos sound now that I attach my MightyMic S by plugging into the headphone jack. And outdoors that included sound muffler makes a big difference when the ambient noises such as wind surround my videotaping. I see another one of these babies as a back up in my future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent sound, but very very low gain on Facebook Live Bought this to use with an iPhone for Facebook Live and the sound quality is good, but since you can't adjust gain on FB live, the level is just too low. Until FB app has audio gain control, this just won't work for what I needed it to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun and effective For what it is, it's great. It does require a dedicated app such as Movie Pro (so that you can control and monitor your audio feed. I enjoyed it and opened up the video possibilities of my iphone as a stealthy pick up cam on my doc.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best Pro: It's better than the phone audio Con: It's not THAT much better than the phone audio Con: With my phone (note 4) the mic was visible in every shot especially when using the wind buffer. You can clearly see the mic in the bottom left hand corner. This is a huge fail. Con: This is a little pricey for what it does. I returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought for use with iPad Air I use this to avoid using the headset microphone. I think, though I can't tell for sure, that the sound pickup is more accurate than without any external microphone. I have a ClamCase that holds the iPad. The mic doesn't fit through the ClamCase opening well (due to the thickness of the case) but I was able to trim a bit of the rubber-ish covering around the stem to make it work. Overall pleased with the product and the service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great Works exactly like I need it to. I like that it has a place to keep the earphones too.
