Apple Mac Pro Desktop Computer (Twelve-Core, Late 2013)
Key Features
  • 2.7 GHz Intel Xeon E5 Twelve-Core
  • 64GB of 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC RAM
  • 1TB PCIe-Based Flash Storage

From 2006 to 2012, the Mac Pro from Apple stuck with the same aluminum case, first made popular by the Power Mac G5. Now, the Mac Pro returns with a completely redesigned look. Apple revisited the architecture of the Mac Pro's internal components in order to maximize performance and minimize heat. With a unified thermal core, Apple opted for a leaner, lighter, and quieter structure that was more streamlined. The unique cylinder design stands just 9.9 inches tall with a diameter of just 6.6 inches, which allows it to be a professional workstation that can actually sit on your desk.

You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart. It will then list the shipping options, descriptions, ETA's and fees to your location.

question

I am a heavy user of the Premiere Pro CC (current) family of applications. Can anyone give me some idea about how much faster a given timeline might render using this top-of-the-line Mac Pro compared to doing the same thing on a 32GB, 4GHz 4-core iMac 5K also with a 1TB SSD? Comments would be gratefully received. Thank you in advance - Pete
Asked by: Peter
If premiere can take advantage of 12 core vs 4 then its worth it. for me time is money, if your editing daily then the 12 or 8 with D700 Graphics card with 32-64mem is the route to go . other wise I would of gone with the 5k iMac loaded.
