General Brand 82-77 Reviews
Does what it's suppose to
Works well and barely noticable
I would buy this product again
Attach to Lens for photography.
Looks breakable but if taken with care it gets the job done. I would recommend this product to my friend.
It seems to be well made and works well. I bought this to try to use a 77mm singh ray vari duo filter on an 82mm wide angle Ziess 21mm lens but unfortunately the lens vignettes pretty badly. This is by no means a fault of the step down ring. It has a thin profile. Be careful not to overtighten it can be pretty tight getting your fingers into the threads to remove the filter.
I have 3 lenses I mainly use. (2 are 77mm and 1 is 82mm) Too buy both size filters would cost a lot. I used the ring with 2 filters stacked and had no vegetation. The only problem I can see with it is that it smooth and can be hard to grip if too tight.
Inexpensive device saves $100s
I use this step-down ring on my tilt-shift lens with the expensive 77mm filters I already had gotten for my telephoto lenses. It works with no vignetting on my camera (1.3 crop factor). Simple, inexpensive and it works.
It is awesomely Round
There is only one Lord of the Ring, only one who can bend it to his will. And he does not share power. I will use it to rule the world
