ExtremeCap U3 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Capture device Before buying this product. I had gone round in circles looking for a capture device that could transfer video footage from my camcorder to my windows PC in High definition. The pinnacle dazzle was no good, the blackmagic shuttle intensity wouldn't work on my pc, I got so frustrated even one the guys at B&H pro video told me to forget it if I couldn't get a pc with firewire but the Consumer video recommended this product and it worked perfect! This device captures clear high definition.Easy to install and use but your pc must have usb3.0. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Well I bought one for my Tv Webcast Streaming business beacuse sometimes I need toshow up with justa laptop and camera. Since the USB 3.0 Port output allwos me to stream 720p flawlessly its a huge edition to LDLTV. I tested it a few times and so far so good. the Avermedia software too is much improved as it gives you precise control of the bitrate and produced a flwless 16 x9 picture is as high as 25 mbps 1280 x 720 video. very impressive for the $ I paid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from USB 3.0 showing off The Avermedia line of capture cards has been a success almost from the start. The most popular being the Live Gamer Portable. This entry touts the power of USB 3.0 and builds on that success.I read a lot of reviews and did a lot of research before I hesitantly paid the money for this capture card. I was scared of what I was getting because of so many mixed reviews. I've been recording and streaming for a long time and I've gone through several capture cards. This one has earned a special place in my collection.Using the higher data rate of USB 3.0 this device advertises recording with little to no latency. This is something that could not be achieved with USB 2.0. After extensive testing I can gladly say that this is a legitimate claim (Thank God since there is no HDMI pass-through). I am always game on the same screen I am recording to or streaming from with no noticeable latency. For those of you that don't want to play from the same screen you can always split the HDMI signal from the PS4 using a splitter. You can record 1080p 60fps gameplay at data rates up to 60Mbps. This makes for an insanely beautiful video. The only drawback to recording at such a high quality is that it uses an immense amount of storage space. For general streaming and recording for YouTube I leave mine set around 10Mbps and it is still beautiful. This card is not the most user friendly out of the box when setting up to stream to Twitch or Hitbox using OBS and X-Split which is the only reason this product is not getting 5 stars. The recentral software included is serviceable but I only use it for local recordings.I nearly let a few bad reviews scare me away from this product and I'm glad I didn't. I have been happy with it since day one and use it daily.A word of Advice. Make sure to check ALL of the system requirements on Avermedia's Gamerzone website before even thinking about purchasing this card. I run a Windows 8.1 system with a core i7 4700mq processor and Intel HD 4600 on board graphics on the stream laptop and it runs beautifully. Make sure that your USB 3.0 controller is supported as supported boards are limited. As long as you meet or exceed the requirements this card will be a great purchase for you.For a look at test footage you can view my initial review at --------------------------- more comprehensive review video is coming very soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not What I Excpected I was told it would be ok if i can use with a splitter thru hdmi. It did not work. Receieved help from Avermedia in Taiwan, they couldnt help me. All i wanted is to receordat 6ofps. My laptop met all requirements. I switched and im waiting for the Hauppauge HDPVR 2, hopefully i will have success.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Good For The Price Recording video games in 1080p @ 60 fps is something that I have needed for quite sometime in an external device and this does just that. Very easy to use as long as you have a good enough computer to handle recording in 1080p @ 60 fps in the first place.
