Odyssey Battery Plate for Sony L-Series Batteries (7.4V) is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better! I don't know what happened but this (same product number) was built terribly before. The battery was not easy to remove and the cable that connects to the Odyssey eventually broke during a shoot. I re-ordered the same thing but the product is different now! The battery release is much improved and the cable, at least looks, much more substantial and able to resist the wear and tear that comes with filming much better than the previous version.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Barely powers the Odyssey 7q+ Using the Sony L-Series batteries, this plate will barely be able to keep up with the power draw of the O7Q+, when the volts drop below 7 your O7Q+ will not allow you to press record. Found this out on our first shoot on the 3rd take. This needs to be at least a double plate for the L-Series batteries to keep up. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sony L battery plate for Odyssey Works fine but if you use a Sony brand battery (6300mAh)it will not last much longer than one hour unless you do not record internally at the same time. 1. The two battery plate should cost this much. 2. The connector sticks straight out of the bottom of the Monitor and is in danger of breaking off. It should be L shaped instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not last I've been using my q7plus for almost a year now and I am on my third battery plate. They do no last long, the wires short and the plates wear fast. But it seem its my only option to use powering with all the Sony L batteries I have invested in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not working with off brand batteries Plate not working with cheaper watson batteries. Customer service wants me to send in my monitor and plate at cost to me. Brand new, out of the box and already have to send it in. Atleast offer to pay for the shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so Good A bit larger than I thought it would be and makes the device need alot of space on the back - It's a bit plascticky but hopefully that's not a problem - I understand why they need a proprietary tap, but so far there aren't any steadicam lemo to Odyssey power taps available to power this thing from

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was great for a while purchased the plate about 5 or 6 months ago, it worked perfect with no problems. Out of no where it starts turning off when positioned in certain angles. I am guessing the power wire is either worn out or the battery connector is. Would have been a 5 star review if i didn't have to buy a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from add to my previous review The product and cable connection are holding up well. I solved the capacity problem by using a dummy (Sony L) battery plugged into a 32000mAh PowerAdd external battery and now the Odyssey runs all day.
