The black Nikon COOLPIX L830 Digital Camera from Nikon features a 16 MP CMOS sensor, and a 4-136mm (22.5-765mm 35mm equivalent) f/3-5.9 Nikkor Lens for capturing high-quality still photos and Full HD 1080p videos. The 34x optical zoom Nikkor lens has both super-telephoto and wide-angle capabilities. You can zoom in to shoot far-away objects and close-ups, or zoom out to shoot the whole scene. Vibration Reduction helps to maintain image sharpness when working in low-light conditions or at the longer end of the zoom range. The camera's ergonomic design features a large grip for improved comfort and control.

The 3" 921k-dot LCD display can be tilted so you can take photos and videos from unique angles while still being able to compose your shot. Shooting high quality images with the COOLPIX L830 is made easy by offering 19 scene modes, as well as an Easy Auto Mode. This allows you to focus on composing your photograph, rather than worrying about the settings. A built-in flash assists in low light or backlit situations. The camera is powered by 4 readily available AA batteries.

16 MP Sensor
The 16 MP 1/2.3" CMOS sensor is capable of recording high resolution imagery that is suitable for both online sharing as well as printing. Additionally, the sensor lends itself to producing HD 1080 video at 60i. Movie recording is accessible via a dedicated movie button.
Nikkor 34x Optical Zoom Lens and Hybrid Vibration Reduction
The 34x optical zoom provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 22.5-765mm, making this camera suitable for capturing almost any type of scene with ease. This lens benefits from the inclusion of Hybrid Vibration Reduction for stills and videos, which works to reduce the appearance of camera shake and blur that can become increasingly notable when shooting in low-light conditions or at the telephoto end of the zoom range. A 5-axis vibration reduction function is employed when shooting videos, that combines lens-shift vibration with electronic vibration to suppress blur caused by camera shake.
Scene Modes and Easy Auto Mode
The COOLPIX L830 is specifically designed to allow you to shoot with ease, and concentrate on taking the photo or video, rather than on changing your camera settings. Easy Auto Mode will automatically control all camera settings for true point-and-shoot functionality. For a more specialized approach, you can choose from one of 19 different Scene Modes, including Beach, Snow, Night Portrait, and Sunset, among others, to optimize certain camera settings that best suit the type of scene you are photographing.

    question

Is their anything wrong with the camera like any scratches dents
    Asked by: Rayveon W.
Refurbished items are products that did not meet quality controls at the factory so were not shipped initially. After rigorous testing and the manufacturer has determined the product meets all specifications, it releases the product but does not want it sold as new. Therefore, a refurbished item has never been sold, meets the advertised specifications and includes a warranty which may be shorter than the original one offered for a new item. Refurbished products include all of the original OEM accessories but will not qualify for incentive promotions, instant savings or rebates. Often extended service plans available. So no scratches.

    question

why is there a clock flashing in the lower left corner of the view finder?
    Asked by: Beulah G.
Most likely the internal Date/Time has not been set, either because it is the first time you're turning the camera on. Or the camera has not been used for some time and the camera reset itself to factory settings. Simply set the Date/Time in the camera menu and it should solve it. Otherwise contact Nikon for additional troubleshooting and technical support.

    question

How do you transfer internal memory pictures to sd card? The 'copy' feature is grayed out on the menu display. Nothing shows up when I connect usb to laptop.
    Asked by: Anonymous
Not sure why your laptop doesn't recognize your camera when using your cameras internal memory - don't know what your operating system is, I use Windows 7 and it is OK. If you use MS Windows try troubleshooting it. I've never used the internal memory - did a test and had no problem using the USB connection

    question

I changed my batteries in my coolpix L830, but it still will not come on. Any suggestions?
    Asked by: Anonymous
I would first recommend to ensure the batteries are inserted in the camera correctly. Following that, if you are using alkaline batteries or lithium batteries, I also recommend to check the expiration date of the batteries and ensure they are fresh (and that you are switching all batteries at the same time. If you are using rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, then ensure your charger is working and the batteries are fully charged. If all of the above have been checked and you are still experiencing issues, then the camera may have a defect or need to be inspected. If this is the case, and if you purchased the camera within the last 30 days, you may contact our Customer Service Department to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number to return the camera for an exchange or a refund. If it has been over 30 days since your purchase date, you may then contact Nikon directly to inquire about sending the camera in for inspection/repair under their Limited 1-Year Warranty.
