Nikon 2211 Overview

Designed as the ideal companion for everyday shooting, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II is a wide-angle to portrait-length 27-82.5mm-equivalent zoom for Nikon DX-format DSLRs. Standard zoom spans wide-angle to portrait focal lengths and is designed for Nikon F-mount DX-format cameras, where it provides a 27-82.5mm equivalent range.
A Super Integrated Coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress internal reflections, flare, and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions.
Silent Wave Motor affords quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override.
VR II (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake by four stops to benefit shooting handheld in difficult lighting conditions.
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm promotes a pleasing out of focus quality that benefits the use of shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.
A retractable lens barrel design maintains an especially compact form factor when the lens is not in use.

question

Can this lens work with the Nikon n80? I would like to use my old film camera
Asked by: Frederick P.
No - it will not work on an N80 or any film or full frame camera. It is designed to cover an APS-C sensor and won't project a big enough circle for an N80. :)

question

What is the difference between Imported and USA version of a lens other than the warranty issue?
Asked by: Robert F.
In use and physically, there is no difference the two lenses and most likely both lenses were made in the same factory. The difference is what distributor B&H used to get these from.

question

Can this lens work with a D3000?
Asked by: Harvey
I have used this lens with both a D3100 and a D3400 but have not used it on a D3000. I imagine it will work though since it did work on the D3100.

question

Anyone using this lens on the D500?
Asked by: Thomas
While the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II Lens would be fully compatible with the D500 Body, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR Lens (B&H # NI168028VR) would be considered the kit lens counterpart to the D500. The 16-80mm lens, aside from the added range, would be sharper, and better for shooting in lower light across the zoom range than the 18-55mm.

question

Does this lens have an infinite focus, and if so, how do you set it?
Asked by: 1Bit
If you mean a preset infinity point that you can easily set for astro photography, no it doesn't. It also has a very small maximum aperture, so it's not a good choice for that typs of photography.
