The Kula Deeper is a lens attachment designed to create stereoscopic 3D photos or video in-camera, with any camera. Constructed using four mirrors, the Deeper enables recording of stereo pairs within the same frame, which can then be viewed in 3D in a variety of ways. The free Kulacode software can be used to process recorded photos and videos into a range of formats for viewing, including the MPO format for use with 3D televisions, as well as anaglyph and stereo pair photo types.

I've read than stereo baselines for most shots are 50 to 80mm. One answer here says the Kula unit has only 11mm baseline. Is this unit just for macro or something? (I want to shoot human subjects in stereo.)
Asked by: Perry
Kula does not specify anything about base lines. You can use any lens as long as it has a 77mm or smaller filter size. The lens does not need to be a macro lens.

question

Just opened the box and baffled by this. Assuming I have a badly manufactured piece, but the threading ring will not attach to my Canon 24-105 lens, which normally has a front filter. It also won't thread onto a brand new step up ring. Also, the instructions say it has a button to quickly attach rather than screwing it in, but here's only one tighening screw - and two screw heads on the opoposite, inside of the metal ring, so not sure how that would even work?
Asked by: Kevin
Our trained camera operator struggled for several minutes to get the step-up ring to thread properly but it did finally work. This was the difficulty we had.
