This Component and Composite to MPEG-2 HD QAM Encoder by Blonder Tongue accepts up to 8 video analog programs either in component or composite format, as well as 8 audio analog unbalanced programs. The encoder is equipped with a spare input interface to replace any one of the primary 8 inputs in the event of a failure. All inputs are digitized, MPEG-2 encoded and multiplexed, and made simultaneously available in the following output formats: 4 adjacent QAM (2 programs per QAM), and 1 ASI (any of the 4 QAM output streams).

Accepts up to 8 programs from any of the 8 component and 8 composite inputs available
Supports one additional spare input to replace any one of the primary 8 inputs in the event of a failure
Digitizes, MPEG-2 encodes, and multiplexes up to 8 inputs into 4 QAM output channels (2 programs per QAM channel)
Provides any 1 of the 4 QAM output streams in ASI format

Provides comprehensive GUI-based monitoring and control via standard Web browsers
Provides a front-panel RF test point (at 20dB below primary QAM output)
Equipped with EAS interface (analog video + L/R audio)
