The RR-90 Remote Release is a wired shutter release designed for use with select FUJIFILM digital cameras. Mimicking the same controls as the camera's shutter release, this remote supports half-pressing for focus and full pressing for exposures. Additionally, the release button can be locked into position to support making long exposures in bulb mode.

FUJIFILM RR-90 Reviews

RR-90 Remote Release is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 71.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from NIce remote What a surprise.I had concern about the shipping and handling because the packaging was squashed and folded. After careful thought I proceeded to open the delivered squashed parcel.Much to my pleasure this remote is not battery powered that I have been able to discern, rather it plugs directly into the USB port and runs off the camera's battery much as the enclosed flash unit does that is included with the XT1.It is compact, light weight and simple to use.All in all, outstanding cable release by an outstanding company Fujifilm. In conclusion though the packaging was squashed and misrouted, the remote is a delight to use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad interface and flimsy construction This is the second remote release I have owned; the first broke outside of the warranty period. It is a positively dreadful design; almost impossible to plug into the camera by feel because of the way that the plugs are arranged, so I need a flashlight AND reading glasses to plug it in. I purchased the second version after the first one broke because I felt there were circumstances when I would be glad to have it, but fortunately the X-T2 also has a screw thread on the shutter release so that an old fashioned manual cable release can also be used (never thought I'd be using one of those again!).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, not great This shutter release is reliable and does exactly what it's intended to do. That said, there are two things I wish were different. First, the mini USB connector is a weakness. Unlike a Nikon 10 pin cable, this USB cable doesn't thread into the camera body so it can come out easily. When the tripod is in place, it's fine, but when moving locations, I always disconnect because I'm afraid it will fall out without notice. Which leads to my second point which is the port shape is almost the same either direction. It always seems to take two tries to get it connected. Takes more time. Second issue, the button is very sensitive to pressure. When pressing part way to focus or after reviewing previous shot, it often releases shutter. The level of pressure is so exacting that when your fingers are cold or wearing gloves, it's hard to do partial button press. Nice feature: on my XT-1 and maybe others as well, when in Bulb setting, the camera shows a count-up on the back display while the shutter is open. No need to fumble with a separate stopwatch timer. Not a feature of the Remote Release, but a nice Fuji feature when using this item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Indispensable Accessory Simple to use and does what it is supposed to do. Indispensable for landscape or time-lapse photography but also for portraits and other photo shoots. I gave it 4 Stars only because when I an L-Bracket I can only use it with the camera in landscape mode, it won't work in portrait mode without buying an expensive accessory for my RRS bracket. In fairness I'm not sure there's an easy solution to this other than if the plug was a right-angle plus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shooting with a cable release The remote works fine, however I placed a RR Stuff L bracket on my XT-2, this becomes an issue. The side placement to connect the cable remote is not in the best location. It is not easy to place in the camera, and the L bracket causes stress on the cable. I think over time either the cable or the connection of the camera is going to have issues. I elected to try the 2.5mm connector which should be easier to place. I ordered the Vello, I am waiting for the shutter release to come so I can give it a try.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work with XT-2! While this comes up as an accessory when you look at the Fuji XT-2 body, it does not in fact work with the camera!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long exposures made easy I bought the RR-90 along with my X-T2, to use it as a long exposure shutter control. Built quality is great, the controller itself is light weighted and the button grip is excellent. Definitely better than using the buggy Fuji App.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Decent, But Tremendously Overpriced This release works as expected, but the cable input connection on the camera is quite flimsy and unprotected, and could be the source of a potential issue if stressed. Additionally, the price for this unit is totally absurd, and should realistically be sold for half of it's selling price.
