    Sirui SUTYLP70 Reviews

TY-LP70 Arca-Type Quick Release Plate is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Win by Sirui Bought this plate to replace the stock plate provided with the Sirui L-20s tilt head. The added ability to attach strap mounts is a great feature. Previous to this purchase, I had to keep the original arca swiss compatible plate mounted onto to a carry speed plate in order to easily transition from handholding to monopod. The TY-LP70 (w carry speed ball mount attached) replaced them both. Those who share a similar appreciation for simplicity will love this upgrade. I was also looking at the CustomSLR M-Plate Pro, which looked like it would also serve this purpose, but its design seemed overly large and awkward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works exactly as it should This plate works exactly as it should. I bought it to use with my Canon 6d and black rapid strap so I could use the arca swiss style clamp over manfrotto's 200pl that black rapid sells a solution for. I was worried about how the camera would hang with the plate but if you position the plate so the threaded nub comes out the back of the camera it hangs quite nicely and doesn't interfere with you taking pictures. I notice it will barely touch my cheek at times but nothing that is annoying or noticeable. I would highly recommend this plate to be used as a solution for people that use a sling type strap like the black rapid and want to use the arca swiss style clamp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Escellent solution This plate works perfectly, allowing the user to mount their gear onto tripods/monopods without having to remove the strap. Looked at other plates out there, and this seemed like the simplest, best option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Not much exists on the web for this plate at the moment, so I figured I'd speak about it. This plats has the exact same quality as the standard plates for Sirui heads, so it's of great quality, and is considerably larger than the plate that came with my K20x, but that is fine with me. I'll be covered in case I ever move to medium or large format. Still unsure of the proper orientation of the plate, since, again, not a lot of info exists at the moment. A simple Google image search revealed both lug orientations--front and back. I have the strap lug towards the rear of the camera. This way, the no-twist pins can be engaged along the front of the camera. Not sure if there is a right or wrong way, but I tried both, and when your strap is attached to the plate, it just feels better when the lug is oriented at the rear of the camera. And yes, this plate will allow you to attach any 1/4 strap so you don't have to keep removing it. I frequently shoot both on and off the tripod within the same trip, and absolutely needed this. It is what it is, and it works. I walked around with my D800 on the BR strap a few hours yesterday, and the plate did not shift, move or loosen. PS - It comes with an allen wrench for the main lug. Overall, a solid Arca-type plate with strap functionality, that is well built, looks good and will cover a variety of DSLRs and medium and large format film cameras as well. Five stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it should This unit had good build quality. The product makes it easy to use a blackrapid strap with the tripod

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good plate with attachment point for strap I like everything about this plate except the plate screw for attaching to the camera. I broke off the loop on the attachment screw when tightening it. The allen key also slipped out of the hole when I used it for tightening, and slightly damaged the screw. The plate itself is great, the screw could be improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Plate to secure your camera I purchased this to attach my Black Rapid harness system and secure my camera but also have the versatility of being able to use my tripod at a moments notice.
