The 80GB 530 Series mSATA PCIe Internal SSD from Intel allows you to store and quickly access up to 80GB of your files, be it movies, photos, music, documents, and much more. With solid-state drive technology and a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional hard disk drive. In terms of speed, the drive offers sequential read times of 540 MB/s and sequential write times of 480 MB/s, as well as random reads up to 24,000 IOPS and random writes up to 80,000 IOPS (Input/Output Operations per Second). In addition to speed, the drive also offers security, optimization, and data-safety features. Since SSDs contain no mechanical parts, they are more durable against physical damage, including data loss and are not subject to the wear and tear that standard HDDs receive from read/write heads.

Power Efficient Performance
The 530 Series SSD accelerates platform performance with a sequential read time up to 540 MB/s and write performance up to 480 MB/s. Random read and write input/output operations per second (IOPS) can reach up to 24,000 and 80,000, respectively. The SSD additionally provides extended battery life through low power modes. Its idle power consumption is more than 90% lower than a typical hard disk drive, reducing consumption from watts to milliwatts. When the drive is coupled with a 4th generation Intel-Core based platform, power mode settings further reduce power dissipation from milliwatts to microwatts
Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit Encryption
AES 256-bit encryption is an industry standard in data security, providing a hardware-based mechanism for encryption and decryption of user data. Utilizing a 256-bit encryption key, AES encryption - when combined with an ATA drive password - helps protect user data
End-to-End Data Protection
End-to-end data protection helps prevent data from being corrupted across the data path by using cyclic redundancy check (CRC), parity, and error correction code (ECC) checks in the data path from the host interface to the NAND and back
Data Compression
The drive's data compression function helps improve performance and endurance by automatically compressing information sent to the SSD so that less data has to be processed and stored on the NAND
