    Canon MX532 reviews

PIXMA MX532 Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 130.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible setup support If you can get this printer going, then it works fine. The problem is like others have said, it took me 3+ hours to set up the wifi connection, including being on hold for over an hour with their tech support. It worked well for about two months, then inexplicably my computer stopped being able to recognize it. The "support" window that popped up supposedly showing how to navigate reconnecting it was nowhere to be found on the canon software, and really read like complete jibberish. I'm usually fairly adept with technology, and it's pretty frustrating that they've made something so inaccessible to the common public.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Product I would warn anyone against purchasing this printer. I have only had it for 3 months and I cannot stand it. I am constantly fighting with it to try to get it to print, it often tells me to "please wait a while" for hours at a time -- NOT ideal if you are a student or anyone trying to meet deadlines. Cannot get the scanning to work, nor the wireless print. I am pretty technologically savvy but I cannot get this printer to cooperate. When it does work, however, I will grant that print and copy quality are beautiful for the price paid. Overall, it is a constant struggle to get this product to perform.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Terrible I'm no novice but this printer isn't worth the $30 I saved by not buying a more expensive model. First off connecting via wi-fi is a major pain if your router doesn't have a WPS button (which most routers don't unless you upgrade every year. Mine is 5 years old). And if you can't get it connected via wi-fi, there is no USB cable included. Besides that the scanner is terrible. I checked online and many people have the same complaint. A solid green square, for example, is all mottled and blotchy, not solid. Since scanning is my #1 need over printing or faxing, that makes this purchase a major fail. Bringing it back today.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big Disappointment I bought this about a month ago, and have had nothing but trouble since I took it out of the box. From a hassle in networking, to a nightmare in scanning, I am wishing that I would have stayed with HP. The time that I have spent troubleshooting is second only to the ridiculous cost that they put on this machine. The only thing that I did not try was printing photos, so maybe that will be enough for some consumers to justify their time and money. I do own an older model Canon that is great for pictures, so I will give them credit for photo quality - BUT it certainly does not make for even a decent home or small office machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pixma mx472 While the machine and I got off to a bumpy start during the setup (which is like pulling teeth for me to do), I really like this product. Some of the few issues I've encountered involved really simple problems-- like I couldn't get to the ink cartridge to change it. Simple solution-- turn off the machine and start over. Another involved trying to use the scanner. My old all-in-one allowed me to scan either by pressing the scanner button on the machine, or going through the scanner software on the computer. Since I tended to use the scanner button, I was really perplexed not to find it on the PIXMA. Not a biggee. Have had the PIXMA for a year now and I would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love all of the features the PIXMA MX472 offers I purchased my Canon PIXMA MX472 about a year ago and am just now getting around to writing the review. I read some of the other reviews and to be honest I was shocked... I absolutely LOVE my printer. I was able to connect to my Wi-Fi quickly and have not had any problems with it in the past year. Well, except the fact that I keep running out of ink from printing so many things. Haha! I feel bad for the others who said they have had issues but in my opinion this is the BEST printer I have ever owned and I'm a graphic designer and photographer, just to name a few of the creative hats I wear while using my printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase Ever I have know Canon to have an unblemished reputation for many years. I had not used the product other than the Office at work. I did some research on Canon to purchase for my home Office and compared it to other Brands. Canon qualities stood out to me and it's affordability sounded almost to good to be true. I Purchased my Canon and must say they truly live up to there name. It prints high quality documents and has many other great features such as Scan, Copy, Fax. Besides that the ink cartridges are reasonably priced. Canon is my new choice of Printers. I don't know how I never considered it before but I am certainly ecstatic I made the right choice this time -- Canon the best and only choice for Printers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Initial Set-Up With A Mac Very Frustrating Just purchased this product. Many wasted hours trying to set-up with a Mac Computer. No instructions nor a CD Rom for setting up with a Mac. Also no help available at all on Canon website to set up with a Mac.Finally called Canon Tech support. It took almost 45 minutes to slowly go thru the setup with a very knowledgeable and patient tech support person.. I'm sure the printer and its features will work well. But the total lack of info on how to initially set it up with a Mac would definitely be a reason why I would not buy another Canon printer. The tech rep was very understanding, but was at a loss as to why Canon was so negligent in providing proper materials or instructions to set it up with a Mac. Canon - you can do better.
