The Canon EF mount Samyang 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS Lens is a prime, manual focus wide-angle lens designed specifically for use with APS-C-sized image sensors. Providing a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 16mm and a broad 105.9° angle of view, this lens is ideally suited for interior, architectural, and landscape photography applications. One extra-low dispersion element and two aspherical elements have been incorporated into the optical design to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion in order to produce sharper images. Additionally, a nano crystal anti-reflection coating system (NCS) has been applied to lens elements in order to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting for improved light transmission and more contrast-rich imagery.

Samyang 10mm f/2.8 Reviews
Lens to Finish the Wide End of My Lenses
I wanted a wide angle lens to finish my lens line on the wide end. I wanted something pretty fast with good optics. This lens fit the bill. I was a little hesitant to get a strictly manual lens but I have had no issues using the manual features. Plus, my Panasonic G85 does some auto functions even with the full manual lens. The lens was longer and heavier than I expected. It's about the same length as my 100-300mm Lumix lens and a few ounces heavier. This has not been an issue since the f/2.8 handles low light pretty well even without a tripod. I really expected to see a significant fisheye distortion but was very pleasantly surprised at how little there is. This lens is already seeing use.
Great Optical
The lens has a plastic feeling build yet optical it's super sharp. Focus and aperture rings are smooth with the aperture having nice click stops. The lens is very light and the front lens cap attaches to the front of the lens hood. Photographing bright lights such as street lights produces nice starbursts. Manual focus is easy as a 10mm lens has so much DOF and there is an included focus scale on the lens.
good price, order fast
Good lens...
Great lens for the earth and the sky
I bought this for my K-50 because it was designed specifically for APS-C format cameras. Absolutely delighted with how it worked during our recent trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. The depth of field is amazing - when shooting in bright light I set the f-stop to 4 or 5.6 in AV mode and then set the lens using the depth of field markings. The K-50 happily chirped every time, telling me it was in focus. During the evenings for night sky shooting all I had to do was open it wide to f/2.8 and set the focus marking to infinity - I tested that during the day time as well. Perfect pinpoint stars near the center and just a trace of astigmatism at the corners - very good performance. Looking forward to using this beauty during future travels that take us into grand buildings, where the ultra-wide rectilinear performance will really be handy. Should have bought one three years ago.
The best solution for landscapes and architecture
Wonderful glass for a landscape survey. Good, strong and very light lens for very little money. He demonstrates minimum chromatic aberrations and very interesting colour picture. A virtual presence is felt on the lens of polarization filter. Possesses very moderate distortion in the class, that interesting in an artistic plan. Provides the remarkable working out in detail in the center of shot and good on periphery. Ideal combination of price and quality. Hand focusing pleasant feature, bonus for creative process lovers. There are universal options: aperture 11, distance is a 1 meter. And you are busy at only composition. I recommend!
Samyang 10mm
I like this lens a lot as an artistic tool. It is great for interior shots. Good for wide landscape, and adds a creative compositional view of close work. It is manual focus but the pentax lets you know when you have hit your mark. I usually use a tripod with this lens. Works best around F8-F18 for sharpness and even edges. It has a learning curve for best angle of view to approach a subject, as the geometry can vary with tilt. The lens can be very sharp up close. The distortion is minimal for such a wide lens and can be adjusted in photoshop. With the high megapixel count on modern sensors, you can crop for what you would get with a zoom. Being a prime, it has less issues with chromatic aberration than a zoom.
This is one sharp lens
Well built, sharp as a tack...just a little bulky. However, the lens is take your breath away sharp and is a wonderful addition
Sharp lens well build
This is quite a nice lens. Even when wide open the image is really sharp in the centre. The colours are neutral. The build quality is excellent. The focusing feels better then my Sigma 30mm art.
