    Mountainsmith 14-81160-65 reviews

Tour FX Camera Waist Pack is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent versitile Bag This is an excellent versitile bag as it can be used as a waist pack or a shoulder bag. It (tightly but sifficiently)fits two O-MD E-M1's - one fit with the 12-40 f/2.8 and the other fit with the 40-150 f/2.8. In addition some pockets for misc cards, batteries etc. My reason for not giving it 5 stars, is that I would have preferred to see the interior dividers be a bit more flexible in size and which sides have the male and female velcro so the configurations could be more endless - maybe one or two more provided would do that. But, on balance, after having tried out a number of messenger bags, for MFT bodies and a couple of lenses this is a handy setup for travel and walk around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Room to Grow I have a Nikon 3300 and getting ready for a trip to Europe. I wanted a fanny pack that I can put my camera equipment and also have room to put passport, credit cards, money and cell phone. This bag has plenty of room! I am a new photographer, and have room to grow with this bag. It is bigger than I envisioned, so I will probably sling it rather than use it as a fanny pack, but I have both options. The quality is excellent. This will also allow me to carry my camera and equipment onto the plane along with necessary contents I would usually keep in my purse. Great travel bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as it gets Exceedingly well designed camera bag in every respect. Lots of attention to details that make this a superior camera bag. Examples include both a see thru zippered pouch and a solid one on the waist strap for putting items like a lens cloth or hex wrench or extra flash cards where they are immedialtely available. The waist strap can be stowed out of the way and only the should strap used or the shoulder strap can be unclipped and only the waist band used or both can be used together. There is a separate carry handle which is also great for quickly grabbing the bag and it has a rounded shape that makes it very comfortable to use and grip. The top opens up away from your body to protect what is inside and the lide has two mesh covered pockets with separate zippers. The zippers have a rubber covering at the end and pull cords - more of the attention to detail that is found with this bag. The interior padding is of medium thickness so it protects camera equipment without wasting space inside the bag. Lots of partitions provided with their Velcro ends so it is easy to customize the bag quickly for whatever gear you plan to take. It has a side pocket that is solid cloth and with an elastic sewn in to keep items inside. It can be used for a water bottle but is equally good for holding an external flash for fast access - not something I would do with the mesh water bottle pockets usually provided. In my more than 30 years as a photographer I have used a great many camera bags and currently own 4 bags and 3 backpacks and only the Gura Gear Bataflae backpacks compare in the quality of design and construction. There are many very good camera bags available but the Mountainsmith is definitely in the great camera bag class. For a micro four thirds camera or a small DSLR with a couple of lenses this is the perfect bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product I have carried this bag every day for the past 3 years every day I travel via bicycle year round. It has held up beyond my expectations. Your gear is right were you need it as well as easy to carry as well as easy to work out of. The rain cover works and easy to deploy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good idea, poor design This bag, while well constructed is not well designed for use. The top opening outward while concealing the contents from viewers is difficult and unpleasant to open. The zipper is against your waste and the photos of excess material in this frankly huge bag make access difficult and inconvenient.. This is a great bag if you have a long hike followed by a short shoot. If you plan to hike around European cities however, having the camera ready for photographs, this is a poor choice. I love the look of my, but it's on the way back to B & H.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from PERFECT SIZE The is the perfect size for hiking. It is large enough to hold a camera and multiple lenses and is comfortable to carry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tour FX Camera Waist Pack I hike often and will use this pack for this. This is a fairly new purchase and I am a first-time buyer for a Mountainsmith product. The pack is large enough to hold the items I use and it seems industrious in its quality. As I further use this item, my future reviews will be more detailed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well made produce I liked this bag. It's well designed, comfortable, nicely padded and quality materials. However, I did end up returning it as it felt too big for my body (female, 5'3, 140 lbs) and looked/felt awkward once I had it on. On a larger frame this may be the perfect bag!
