  • 1Description

The HD6 Mix Headphones from Sennheiser are designed for use in studio applications such as mixing and monitoring. They are based on Sennheiser's HD 25 headphones and have a closed-back design for reduced bleed while tracking. The headphones are intended to provide a comfortable fit during extended sessions and come included with a pair of velour ear cushions and a pair of leatherette ear cushions. Two Kevlar-coated cables, one straight and one coiled, are also included and can be attached to either the left or right ear cup. When not in use, the HD6 Mix headphones can be stored and transported in the included protective case.

Tuned for DJs and Producers
With some of the world's top DJs on our development team, and fitted with Sennheiser's proprietary acoustics system, the HD6 Mix headphones deliver sound reproduction tuned specifically for the DJs' and producers' needs, and varying environments, inspired by the sound signature of the HD 25
Designed for Durability
All parts of these new Sennheiser headphones are crafted for durability for years of use even in the most punishing environments and the roughest everyday studio work. So all you have to bother about is just your music
Interchangeable Ear Pads
Built for hours of comfort while performing at the decks or in the studio, the HD6 Mix features interchangeable ear pads in soft velour or leatherette, and at the same time providing outside noise attenuation thanks to their elliptical, circumaural design
Coiled and Straight Cables
Demanding DJs and producers know what a good cable is worth. That's why the HD6 Mix headphones come with exchangeable single-sided, Kevlar-coated cables made of oxygen-free copper and featuring gold-plated connectors: one coiled, one straight (both up to 3 m). They are attachable to either ear cup and are fitted with a bayonet twist for a secure connection

    Sennheiser HD6 Mix reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from similar to senheisser hd280 pro So, I am going to compare these hd6 mix headphones ($) to the sennheiser hd280 pro ($), since I have been using the hd280 for 6 years. This hd6 is very similar. Sound:In terms of sound. I feel like the bass and treble is slightly louder on the hd6. Or, more accurately, the mid is slightly less on the hd6 mix. If you listen to macklemore thrift shop, the bass hits are slightly louder, macklemore vocals are slightly louder, the saxophone is slightly quieter, and the cymbals and hihats are about the same. Listening to this song on the hd6 makes macklemore vocals firmly the center of attention. On the hd280, the center of attention is the saxaphone.Comfort:The ear hole area on the hd6 is slightly smaller than the hd280, but it is slightly deeper. For me, the hd6 seems to be a bit better fit. I need deeper ear holes for my ears that stick out a bit. However, these are brand new and the ear pads may wear down after a few months which would make the ear depth about the same as the hd280. The hd6 is slighter hotter on the ears than the hd280, but with the velour pads it may be cooler, I havnt tried the velour pads yet.Would I reccommend them?I cant tell yet, but I am tempted to tell you to buy the hd280 pro instead. The hd280 just has a lot better midrange, and still enough bass to blow up your head. However, I am probably keeping the hd6 and using it at the office.keep in mind that I have owned these hd6 headphones for only one hour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Headphones These headphones are highly rated; see http://headphones.specout.com/l/4388/Sennheiser-HD6-Mix They are listed as Studio closed-system headphones. From familiar music, I now hear sounds (e.g., harmonics) that I previously didn't know were there. These headphones are really extraordinary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HD6 Mix Headphones Amazing clarity across the full range of sound. Bottom end is clear without booming, instruments and voices precise and clean. Great headphones for the price. I highly recommend you give them listen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it! These are great for blocking out annoying employees when you are working, not so great if your boss is calling your name and you don't respond. Sound quality is fantastic, would strongly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable, for a thin head Great, well built headphones. Only downside is that after an hour or so, I start to feel pressure which makes them uncomfortable...especially as I wear glasses.
