The Radeon R9 270 Double Dissipation Edition Graphics Card from XFX Force is a computer graphics card with Windows software for computers that have PCI Express expansion slots. The card is geared toward gamers and other users working with applications that benefit from or require the additional processing power a dedicated graphics card provides.
The card features the AMD R9 270 GPU with a base clock speed of 900 MHz that is designed to be overclocked (boosted) up to 925 MHz. It has 1024 stream processors for a total of 16 compute units allowing APIs and applications that support data parallelism to execute operations on hundreds of data points at once. To move data to and from the GPU as efficiently as possible, the card features 2GB of GDDR5 RAM with an effective memory clock speed of 5.6 GHz.
Suitable for connecting to a variety of displays, including computer monitors, HDTVs, projectors as well as many 3D and 4K devices, the card features an HDMI port, a DisplayPort port, a dual-link DVI-I (digital and analog) port, and a dual-link DVI-D (digital only) port. Through the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs it can drive displays up to 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution.
Immersive Gaming: Use up to three monitors to create a "wrap-around" display that gives you a closer approximation of natural peripheral vision than a traditional, single monitor setup
Enhanced Productivity: Display multiple applications at once on different screens or spread windows from a single application across several displays to create a larger work area--particularly beneficial when using photo, video, or audio editing applications
AMD Eyefinity Technology: Support for multiple independent display outputs simultaneously, including up to six displays via DisplayPort when using a Multi-Stream Transport (MST) hub
Drives 4K and 3D Displays
Supports displays up to 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution when connecting via HDMI or DisplayPort. Play games or watch movies in 3D when connecting to compatible active or passive 3D displays
Hardware-Accelerated H.264 Encoding
AMD Video Codec Engine (VCE) allows you to transcode video to H.264 significantly faster than when using software-only solutions
Discrete Digital Multi-Point Audio (DDMA)
Allows audio to be sent to more than one device when using outputs that feature audio support--i.e., HDMI and DisplayPort
AMD App Acceleration
Designed to ensure multiple applications run smoothly by optimizing the card's performance based on what you are doing
API Support for Faster Processing and Better Rendering
Leverages additional processing power of the GPU, and adds other performance enhancements, when playing compatible games or using other types of compatible software. This card's extended API support includes:
DirectX 11.2, OpenCL 1.2, Microsoft C++ AMP, OpenGL 4.3, and DXVA 1.0 and 2.0 APIs
Using AMD PowerPlay and AMD ZeroCore Power technology, the card is designed to dynamically regulate the available power to maximize performance while saving energy and avoid overheating. In dual GPU configurations using CrossFire, the second card will automatically power off to save energy when not required
Double Dissipation Fansink
Designed to allow the card to run quieter and cooler even while overclocked; the cooling system features triple direct copper heatipes, exhaust vents with better airflow than standard versions, and dual fansinks
Quad Data Rate (QDR) GDDR5 RAM
Because GDDR5 RAM can transfer up to four words per cycle, as opposed to one word per cycle with traditional RAM, the effective data rate is quadrupled, allowing this card to process data transactions as quickly as if it had a 5.6 GHz memory clock speed
PCI Express 3.0 x16 Support
PCI Express 3.0 x16 bus architecture offers double the bandwidth of PCI Express 2.0 x16 while maintaining backwards compatibility with existing PCI Express motherboards for the broadest support
Decodes: H.264, VC-1, MPEG-2 (SD and HD), MVC (Blu-ray 3D), MPEG-4 Part 2 (DivX/Xvid), Adobe Flash, WMV HD
Advanced post-processing and scaling
De-blocking, de-noising, automatic de-interlacing, and mosquito noise reduction
3:2 pull-down detection
Supports 7.1-channel surround sound and LPCM, AC-3, AAC, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS Master audio formats
Double precision floating point computations
