Leather Case for the X100/ X100S Cameras (Black) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome old school case! I looked at several case options before I chose the recently released X100S case. It really completes the package of a retro style rangefinder. The front cover securely attaches with two quality snaps and a magnetic bottom. It opens quite quickly if you just flip the magnet and swing it over the top. The battery / memory card flap is perfectly positioned and the materials / build quality are great. The only time you need to remove the camera from the case is if you want to access the USB door. If you spend this much on a camera, don't buy the cheapest case you can find. This is a quality case, and so cool!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needed protection It's relatively easy to produce the camera on the fly. I have two filters on the lense (one with removed glass, and one with intact glass - to protect the lense while giving it room to zoom. The case does close over both filters (if you give a little squeeze to the top and bottom of the case allowing the magnet to engage, it works just fine). I'm thinking it might not close around a thumb rest but my priority is protecting the camera. I did look at 2nd party cases which were beautiful and well crafted but decided to go with this one. I find this case to be nice in that it serves it's purpose perfectly in protecting my camera. It looks good too. Done shopping.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but... Good for protecting the camera and it has a cool look, just like the camera it is made for. But it's impossible to keep the adapter + filter and close gently the case ! It is made for the camera without any filter... Weird and especially at that price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very tight fit for X100T The case is well made, but is too tight on the X100T. With a filter on the lens (and no lens hood) the case doesn't close. Without a filter (and no lens hood) the case shuts, but only marginally such that the magnetic clip that keeps the front section on does not have a secure fit. I can't comment on whether it works better on an X100S, but do not buy if you are looking for a case for the X100T. I am going to look to return mine to B&H.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classy! I love the case! It is very well built and the compartments are readily accessible. Only minus is it doesn't facilitate the adapter ring, protector filter and hood. The adapter ring and protector filter without the metal lens cap just fits. But then again, it was made to be compact. Overall, I am very pleased with the look and build.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This case is a compromise This case is well made and it fits the design-purpose of the X100S it is made for. But, as a full-time case during your photo-making activities, it does suffer some limitations. If you want to use a tripod or monopod, there is no cutout in the case bottom to access the tripod mount hole on the X100S. You have to remove the case bottom entirely to do that. The case top, in front, does not fit over the lens, when the lens hood is mounted. If you fancy using the lens hood, you must twist it off the lens before closing this case. If you use a protective or circular-polarizing filter, the combination of the filter adaptor-ring, the filter(s), and lens cap make for a very tight fit, otherwise. The leather strap is stitched with smooth leather on both sides, but has no fabric in the portion that makes contact with a bare neck. During warm weather, it is a bit uncomfortable as perspiration wets it. As a fashion accessory, the case does look good if you like the retro-camera case-look of rangefinder cameras 50-years ago. It will store the unadorned as-issued X100S nicely. But as a working-case in the field, it has limitations. Perhaps a belt-worn soft case is a better practical choice. That would also allow you to carry accessory filters, an extra battery, and lens cloth. If this is not the case you are looking for, there are other well-made aftermarket leather cases that address the limitations I mentioned. Some shops will offer standard options for your specific needs, including an over-the-hood front. Prices vary, obviously. Plus, an extended case front does defeat the compact design of the X100S, somewhat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like this case a lot. Very well made. Looks great. The quality of the fit and finish is perfect. Looks very nice on this camera. I bought the Brown since it is leather and I'm sure it will will develop a very attractive patina over time. The cover fits fine and will be good protection when in a back pack, boat, etc. I really don't use the top, since I have the lens hood on all the time and it is obviously not meant to fit that. The trap door to access the battery and card is a little too close. However, if you gently press on the frame of the LCD screen right by the DISP/BACK button the door pops open just fine. Also, the X100T is really quite amazing!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case -happy I bought it! I am a semi-pro with various camera set-ups (Large format film and DSLR) and love them for my shoots. I am used to carrying a lot of gear - in hard cases, rolling bags and shoulder bags. I chose the x100T for a grab and go camera where I don't have to carry ANY kind of bag - just the camera itself - and I love it! I was concerned about knocking the camera around and the thick yet smooth leather case protects the camera well, whether the full case (when I park the camera for a spell next to me at a restaurant) or just the bottom half while over my shoulder or in hand. With the case on I found changing the battery or card easy and quick with the flap provided. I have used the camera every day for three weeks now and I am solidly happy with my decision to get the case.
