  • TruePic VII Image Processor
  • Micro Four Thirds System
  • 1,440k-Dot EVF with 120 fps Refresh Rate
The silver Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera is a compact, ergonomically-designed camera featuring a 16.1 megapixel Live MOS sensor and TruePic VII image processor to produce high-resolution still imagery and full HD 1080p video with notable low-light quality and high-speed performance. The combination of these two technologies enables a high sensitivity range from ISO 100-25600 and continuous shooting up to 8 fps. The sensor also lends itself to an enhanced FAST autofocus system that utilizes a contrast-detection focusing method to efficiently acquire focus with selectable focus areas for even greater precision. Also benefitting image sharpness is in-body three-axis image stabilization that compensates for angular shifts and rolling camera shake.

question

I've bought my OMD EM10 in 2014 and always shoot in jpeg mode, recently I tried to shoot raw+jpeg for my vacation on the beach and on the third day of my vacation my camera was freezed, unrespond and automatically turn off after a few second turn on. I tried many times but got the same result. Anyone knows the cause ?, any advice are welcome and thank you.

That hasn't happened for me but could it be a bad battery?

question

I just put the battery back in the camera after 1 month of non use. All I get is a black screen & no view finder. What do I do?
Asked by: Anonymous
Did you charge the battery first? They go dead - even when not in use. Also did you have it in the right way? the metal strips go in first with the battery label facing the lens side of the camera.

question

Hi, I have Olympus E-300 4/3 lenses. Are these lenses compatible with the OM-D E-M10 mirrorless body? Thanks, Robert
Asked by: Anonymous
I don't have 4/3 lenses, so I don't know first hand how the E M-10 autofocus 4/3 lenses. However, all the information I have confirm that only the E M-1 can auto focus satisfactory lenses which have been designed for phase detection (4/3 system). E M-5 and E M-10 are designed to autofocus contrast detection lenses (micro 4/3 system .

question

Can this be used with lenses that were used on a OM-1 or 2
Asked by: Anonymous
Not totally sure. I owned an old OM-1 and remember that the lenses and mount were much bigger than the new mirrorless lenses and bodies. So my guess is the old lenses won't fit the new camera bodies unless someone make an adapter for this purpose. I would ask at B&H if anyone makes such an adapter.

question

Can this camera be tethered to a mac via usb and control camera settings, show live view on mac and take a photo? Similar to what a canon rebel can do with eos utility.
Asked by: jon b.
All you can do is download photos with a USB to Olympus Viewer 3 software installed on a Mac. You cannot use camera controls. But if you have an iPad with the Olympus App you can control camera settings, show live view, and transfer photos to Apple's Photos App through the camera's built in WiFi, and it works great.
