TeachLogic IRF-3150/LS4 overview

The IRF-3150 Forum Wireless Microphone System from TeachLogic is a sound-field system for classroom presentation. This system consists of an IMA-320 Amplifier/Receiver Base Station, IRT-55 Sapphire Microphone Transmitters with lithium-ion batteries, an ICS-55 Ceiling Sensor for IR connectivity throughout the room, and four SP-628L Lay-In Ceiling-Mount Speakers. It also includes a BRC-15 Plug-In Wall Charger for charging the Sapphire transmitters.

Each lightweight Sapphire Infrared Microphone Transmitter comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It can be worn with a lanyard or clipped directly to your neckline collar. It transmits the vocal signal via infrared light to the ICS-55 Dome Sensor installed on the ceiling.

The ideal location for the dome sensor would be in the center of the ceiling. This will provide a clear signal path for the IR transmission from the transmitter without obstruction. In addition, you will have 360° coverage and minimize the transmission distance for more reliable performance. The sensor collects the infrared transmission signal via 6 large detecting diodes.

The signal is then sent via the included 50' plenum-rated cable terminated with RCA connectors to the receiver input of the IMA-320 Forum Amplifier/Receiver Base Station where it is detected and then processed through the power amplifier to up to four SP-628L Lay-In Ceiling Speakers (included). The receiver/amplifier supplies the power to the sensor.

The receiver base station's two wireless microphone channels provide freedom of movement and permit hands-free performance. Its two auxiliary line inputs provide multimedia integration via computers or DVD/iPod units. The base station also has separate outputs for both assistive listening and recording with active boards.
