The Magnus VT-3000 Tripod & Zoom Controller Kit for Canon, Panasonic, and Sony from B&H features an aluminum tripod/fluid head system and a record and zoom controller for Canon/Panasonic/Sony LANC camcorders.
The tripod supports a payload of 6.6 lb and adjusts to a max height of 61" in two stages. It includes a mid-level spreader and features retractable rubber feet with ground spikes underneath. The fluid head features separate pan and tilt locks and offers a full 360° pan range. It comes with a pan bar and quick-release plate with a 1/4" screw and locking pin. A carrying case is included for the entire system.
The zoom controller attaches to the pan bar via a built-in mounting clamp and connects to your camera with an included cable. It regulates zoom at variable speeds with a pressure-sensitive rocker switch. It can also be used with Sony consumer cameras via an optional Magnus ACM-SAVR AVR adapter cable.
The Magnus VT-3000 Tripod System with Fluid Head is a stable, sturdy video tripod made from anodized aluminum that can support loads up to 6.6 lb. It provides many features commonly found on more expensive models. The two-way fluid head provides smooth operation, and features a half-ball mount with a diameter of 65mm, with left and right pan bar mounts. One pan bar comes included. The VT-3000 tripod system weighs 7.75 lb.
The 3-section leg design allows you to adjust the height of the tripod from 28.6" to 61". A mid-level spreader and passive counterbalance provide improved stability. The VT-3000 has separate pan and tilt locks and a bubble level for precision leveling, and offers a full 360° pan range. The fixed counterbalance spring incorporated in the head provides smoother tilt movements.
The included quick-release plate features a standard 1/4"-20 mounting screw with a video pin, and features a micro balance slider.
The Magnus VC-20-SCP Zoom Controller for Canon, Panasonic, Sony provides record and zoom control for all LANC-equipped Canon, Panasonic, and Sony camcorders. An included 22.5" long control cable connects into the controller on one end and into the camcorder's LANC port on the other. You can also use this controller with Sony consumer cameras via an optional Magnus ACM-SAVR AVR adapter cable.
A built-in mounting clamp allows attaching the controller to your tripod pan handle so you can zoom and pan with one hand and achieve a fluid look. The clamp opens up to 1.25" and also fits jibs, tubes, pipes, and bars. Zoom is regulated by a pressure-sensitive rocker switch that produces faster or slower control depending on how hard or gentle you press it. For tape-based cameras, a REC/RET button works together with a REC/RET switch to let you return to the last record position.
