Is this compatible with cannon 80d and do you think it is better than 18-400
Asked by: April
Yes, both the 18-400 and 16-300 are compatible. Both are quite similar, but the 18-400 is slightly larger and heavier due to its slightly longer range/optical design and vibration compensation (VC) mechanisms.

Will this lens work with a Fringer Lens Mount ...

Will this lens work with a Fringer Lens Mount Adaptor for EF mount lens to a Nikon Z camera?
Asked by: Richard
Please see: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1538678-REG/fringer_fr_nz1_autofocus_lens_adapter_for.html/?ap=y&smp=y&msclkid=2fc7436878241fedadb3235ce8a17ca6 based upon this description it seems to me that the Tamron 16-300 for Canon should work with the adapter, However I have no first hand knowledge or experience with this issue. For a more definitive answer I would suggest that you contact Fringer although it doesn't seem obvious how one would do that. Despite the fact that they are a Chinese company they may have an office or an importer here in the US if you could locate them. B&H has a 30 day return policy. If it doesn't work return it.

does this lens work with canon 5d mark iii?

does this lens work with canon 5d mark iii?
Asked by: Ki
No, the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Canon is not compatible for use with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera. The Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera has a full-frame sensor, while the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Canon is designed for cameras that use the smaller EF-S sensor. Attempting to use the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Canon on the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera runs the risk of damaging the rear lens element on the lens, the reflexing lens inside the camera, or both, and is not recommended.

How do the Tamron 16-300 mm and 18-400 mm lenses compare for sharpness, CA, etc?
Asked by: Greg
The 18-400mm has the greater reach however it has CA. The 16-300mm has less reach but less CA plus macro and is much wider with 16mm. I would consider the 16-300mm myself.
